Hello, There is currently a safety issue at Sherwood Oaks Park. Below the big blue slide on the playground where the mulch is worn away, there is a large chunk of concrete protruding that several children have been getting injured on. They get to the bottom of the slide and instead of landing in mulch, they're getting scraped up on the concrete chunk. There's also an additional large concrete chunk about 10 feet east of the bottom of the blue slide where mulch should be covering it. An additional note, the swing seats on the swing set there are exceedingly high. High enough that even an adult must jump up to get onto the swing. Children are not able to stop themselves when done swinging because they are set so high. Isn't there an OSHA standard for how what height the swings should be set at? Thanks, Kevin Kevin R. On Morningside, across from Park Ridge East Park (close to tennis and basketball courts) there was a speed limit sign. When the signs were switched out with new speed limit, this one was not replaced, and now there is no sign and the traffic flies.
