#201966 has been closed: 'Parking Officer has spoken to the owner and has made sure the vehicles are moved.' This was 4/9/2025. The Red Ford Truck and white SUV, parked in front of 613 S Eastside Drive, have not been moved an inch since that date, nor had they weeks before the Parking Officer addressed the issue with the owner. The Code of Ordinances of the City of Bloomington, Title 15.04.020 (2) defines an Abandoned Vehicle as: A vehicle left on public property continuously without having moved for three days. So the Parking Officer needs to talk to the owner again. He is not moving his vehicles, as the Code of Ordinances requires him to do.

The resident at this location refuses to comply with lease terms regarding cleaning up their apartment. The conditions are going to contribute to unwanted pests and potentially other hazards. I have sent them notice, emailed and texted. The owner of Pavilion told me that the Hand dept will come out and either help put the resident in touch with resources or will have it cleaned and fine the resident. I just need to know if this is true and if I can get assistance getting them back in compliance with their lease terms instead of eviction. For Council & Mayor Offices: The whole near west side within city limits that leads to what everyone considers the actual west side of Bloomington (whether in city limits or not) is being very poorly zoned and utterly bad development. The city never prioritizes parks or other greenway features - or even just simple street trees and better vegetation requirements. All the businesses over here continue to get gigantic parking lots and the less popular zoning cases (i.e. rehabilitation centers) are pushed to the west side. Where are these items on the east side of town? Or north? This is inequitable zoning and use of resources focused only to east side and downtown residents. We want to see better.
