Potholes, Other Street Repair
102 E Allen ST
- Case Date:
- 11/7/2024
On the south side of Allen St, between Walnut and Washington, someone cut a hole in the street and filled it with small rocks that are just spreading everywhere. They also upended the adjacent sidewalk panel and tried to just lay it back down again. Maybe the fiber company?

- Case Date:
- 8/19/1997
Mr. Strats called the Mayor's Office at approximately 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday, August 19, 1997 to express concern over his water being turned off. He had originally received a notice that his water bill was late, then showed proof of payment to Utilities. After doing so, Utilities informed him that he would be taken off the list, but his water at the Uptown Cafe (his business) water still turned off.
Blocked Street
102 E Kirkwood
- Case Date:
- 6/18/2021
Privately owned businesses on the north aide of the 100 block of E Kirkwood — a public street —have completely blocked off the entire width of the street, making it completely inaccessible to bicycles. When Kirkwood is closed to car traffic, the public street still needs to be shared space and not dedicated exclusively to private business owners of the Uptown and the Farm restaurants!

Biking & Walking
102 E Kirkwood Ave, Bloomington, IN 47408, USA
- Case Date:
- 6/13/2021
Restaurants on the north side of the 100 block of E Kirkwood are completely taking up the ENTIRE STREET. Pedestrians can still use the sidewalk, but what are bicycles supposed to do? Restaurant outdoor dining tables are curb to curb (and out of 35+ tables on a Sunday afternoon, exactly 1 table had customers.) It would be a lot better for private businesses to set up to SHARE the public street rather than make it impossible for bicycles to get through without taking a detour or dismounting.
