The cul-de-sac we live in hasn't been plowed and is very icy, we are unable to put our trashcans out.
We never had our alley ways and roads cleared. Most of us can't get out still. Would be much appreciated when you guys get a chance.
Our cul de sac (Lakewood Ct) has not been plowed
We have not had a snow plow once up our street and we cannot get out to take care of essential work (husband’s job) plus to care for our elderly parents. We live in Park Ridge East, we figured our road would get one plow at least within the 24 hours since it started snowing. We fear the plows just aren’t coming up our cul de sac. We hope that we can get added to the route soon.
We hope you remember Windermere Woods Dr is a city street that is included iin plowing and deicing.
There is a dip in the pavement, from broken in pavement that has collapsed.
Picture is on property of 206 s Fairview and looking east. Huge hole. Unclear if sinkhole as area of old quarry or if recent digging for fiber optic contributing. Hole is about 1 ft across and about 2 foot wide. It caverns under the road slightly and appears to go deeper under the property on 206. Since there is no side walk, people often walk on the grass in that exact area. I walk this way often and first time seeing it this evening.
Please enforce the sidewalk snow removal ordinance for IU properties. In many cases the steps and paths on IU property have been cleared while facilities staff seem to have ignored the sidewalks adjacent to the IU property. This applies to several blocks on the western edge of campus (7th thru 10th, Indiana to Woodlawn). My neighbors and I cleared our sidewalks Monday night. Here in an area where people are trying to get to work, it's even more important, and yet it's the third work day with unsafe sidewalk conditions.
When plowing the roads, all the snow is pushed up against my car. Only half the road is plowed. I park in regulated city parking. I am curious if the snow removal plows plan to remove the large amounts of snow on the sides of the roads that keep my car trapped. It is too packed down to shovel, as I have tried numerous times. It is not just my parking spot; everyone parked on Clark Street cannot remove the two feet of snow and ice being pushed against our cars. Thank you for your concern.
