We are in city limits and these people are throwing trash in their yard and burning it with large plastic containers. My son has asthma and the smoke will come inside our house. I am requesting that these people please pickup this trash and dispose of it properly.

For the City arborist: there are two young trees growing side-by-side at the stop sign at 3rd and Fairview. One is a black walnut that I think should be cut down so the other one can grow to its full potential. They are so close it feels like they will just compete for space. We could have one very healthy street tree as opposed to two stunted ones. Thanks.

We rent this house from Cedarview Management. Our heating system is broken and Cedarview has not made strong attempts to fix it. It is 40-50 degrees in our house.

This morning when I went out to gather up my carts I noticed that the bar that goes across the middle of the front of my small trash cart was only in one hole. The bar fell completely off completely as I pulled the cart up the driveway. I assume that bar is essential for emptying the cart. Do you have any advice about how I can get the bar to fit back in both holes? At the moment it’s in one hole and angled up at about a 30 degree angle, which doesn’t seem very useful. Just out of curiosity, what is the expected life-span of the carts? They are already starting to look beat up. My recycling cart has a piece missing on the corner of the lid. Storm drainage ditch on east side of North Ritter Street between W. Kirkwood and W. 6th Street is blocked with debris and a discarded mattress, causing localized flooding.
