The street lights downtown (specifically on Kirkwood, from the Von Lee westward) turn on well after dark. Need to be adjusted for DST. Currently turning on at 6:39pm, over an hour past sunset.
My spouse and I were dining on the patio at the Little Tibet near 4th and Dunn this evening. The noise and music levels from Kilroy’s around the corner was extremely loud to the point it really ruined the ambiance of an otherwise peaceful evening. Does Kilroys have noise permits to operate with the sound system on their patio? What happened to the quiet nights initiative from a couples years ago?

Please repaint the cross-walks on E 3rd St and College Mall Road, especially in the vicinity of College Mall. I walk almost everywhere, and it is very dangerous to cross major intersections--especially at night--where the cross-walk paint has either rubbed off entirely or faded so as to be barely visible. Please see the attached photo for a look at the sidewalk at Kappa Kappa Gamma (or whichever Sorority is currently residing at that property). Part of the sidewalk has been cleared, but a section on Hawthorne is covered with a huge pile of snow so a pedestrian has no choice but to walk into the street to get around it. Unfortunately the sidewalk on other side of the street also hasn't been cleared, so that isn't an option. That belongs to IU so I have contacted them about that. Thank you!
Owner/manager of Steve and Barry's says there is a terrible odor from the City garbage receptacles in front of his store on Kirkwood as well as dumpsters in the alley behind his store. Says if the City cleaned out the ones on Kirkwood occasionally it might help. He felt the dumpsters needed lids to help with that problem.
