I am an elderly individual who relies on a cart to access the course. On multiple occasions, I—and others with mobility or disability-related needs—have been turned away when requesting a spectator cart at events held at Cascades Golf Course.
Many of us travel significant distances to support our grandsons and granddaughters, only to arrive and be told that no carts are available, with little more than an apology offered. As a public, municipally operated facility, this raises serious concerns about access for individuals who cannot reasonably walk the course.
If these issues are not addressed, I will be pursuing a formal complaint based on accessibility concerns and will be consulting with legal counsel regarding next steps. I would strongly encourage this matter to be reviewed and resolved promptly.

I wanted to voice my frustrations with some of the new policies that negatively impact the high school golf programs that compete/practice at Cascades Golf Course.
First, my understanding is that there is a new policy that the high school team and players cannot schedule tee times in the afternoon during their practice period on any day other than Mondays or Tuesdays. My son has a junior annual membership at Cascades (and has for the last 8-10 years), yet because of his participation on the high school golf team, this policy would presumably prevent him from being able to reserving a tee time on Wednesday-Friday from 3-5:30 p.m. Any other junior annual member who isn't on the team can reserve a tee time during that same time slot. My son pays the same amount for his annual membership as any other junior, but he is presumably denied access because of his participation on the golf team. If that is in fact the policy, that is wrong, unfair, and should be changed immediately.
On another note, from what we have been told, I find it disappointing that many of the changes that negatively impact the golf programs (higher prices for range balls, new restrictions to practice space, restrictions to permissible days to schedule matches, etc.) were made without any dialogue with the coaches and/or high school administration. While I fully appreciate that Cascades Golf Course is a business and changes like these are necessary at times, it would seem that the longstanding relationship that the Bloomington North H.S. golf programs and players have had with Cascades would have made a discussion appropriate. That type of discussion would have at least provided an opportunity for the coaches/school to express how some of these changes negatively impact the team (i.e., how viable is it to have a JV team if practice space is so limited?) and how it negatively impacts the growth of the sport. I think a municipal city course should be striving to encourage local youths to play golf, and not making changes that discourage them from doing so.

Winslow rec baseball was not held tonight due to field conditions- All others leagues around Bloomington, Ellettsville, and Smithville are on tonight! The fields At Ellettsville and Smithville are ran by volunteers to get the fields ready. Winslow has a city maintenance behind them and can not get them ready! This is disheartening for baseball players in Bloomington! Why can’t this problem be fixed? On field 4 has not been available to play on all week.

Every night, starting about 9pm, this stretch of straight, flat, smooth road is used by cars and motorcycles as a drag strip, creating a great deal of noise. We also suffer from Harley-Davidson riders, more on the weekend than at other times. Since the majority of those bikes have no mufflers, it gets pretty loud when a poker run comes through. And finally. Semi-tractors come through on 46, typically moving west, when they apply their jake brakes. It would help a lot if we could get some police presence along this stretch...

Countless bags of trash and debris are left on parking lot at this location for an excess of a week now, we believe these are left here by the homeless crowd as they have been camping at this location previously. Obviously this church has no interest in dealing with this problem and sack of trash may contain hazardous material. Typically the hummus are leaving drugs and or needles, syringe, etc..
