Potholes, Other Street Repair

1319 E 1st ST

Case Date:
4/13/2026

The alley is concrete and is VERY damaged. Utility lines run down this alley as well as all residents garages. Tripping is a problem as the ground is very bad and it was patched with asphalt instead of properly correcting and replacing. This is not owned by homeowners and needs replacing completely especially on the highland ave side.

Sidewalk & Curb Complaints

101 W Kirkwood Ave

Case Date:
4/27/2026

Dangerous section of sidewalk. Sidewalk already has an uncomfortable outwards cross-slope towards the street. The addition of a large depression in the sidewalk makes this particularly inaccessible for wheelchair. S College Ave side of building.

Street Trees

115 N Smith RD

Case Date:
4/24/2026

Visibility of the stop sign at the intersection of East Morningside Drive and Smith Road is compromised for southbound traffic by tree branches that have grown into the right of way to the extent of overhanging part of the southbound traffic lane. Limited visibility of the stop sign from the railroad underpass has the visual effect as if the sign were at the end of a long tunnel. Trimming the trees west of the sidewalk on Smith Road, especially the evergreens, would have an immediate positive effect on safety at the Morningside Greenway intersection. Safety improvements at the intersection of Morningside and Smith Road are being considered to encourage southbound traffic on Smith Road to stop at the Morningside Greenway. This has become an urgent issue following injuries caused by a recent car-bicycle collision when the car ignored the stop sign.
