Unsafe Buildings

918 N Lindbergh DR

Case Date:
4/3/2026

Despite the BHA making multiple efforts to ask the resident in 918 to stop allowing multiple guests to chainsmoke cigarettes and other "combustible materials" given that this is a non-smoking building, I have a documented medical issue, and the presence of oxygen tanks, the resident in 918 continues to allow guests to smoke. The office offered to transfer me to a different unit, but upon receiving the key after signing the lease, the unit had serious water damage and heavy mold. I am not able to move into the new unit until those issues are addressed. Resident in 918 continues to allow smoking day and night, high foot traffic, and sits with his door open all day waiting for me to come and go so he can make comments to try to get a reaction out of me in retaliation for the previous report. This is a follow-up to that previous report. Thank you.b

PREVIOUSLY REPORTED, NOT RESOLVED: I reached out to you on April 7, 2026 about an electrical wire that is sitting on top of my garage; it runs from my house to the electric pole in my yard. You recommended that I report it to Duke Energy - I did, on the same day - Ticket # D7806903. No one has repaired this dangerous situation yet, I am very concerned about a wire touching my garage which has my car and lawn equipment stored inside. What do you recommend should be my next steps as Duke was unresponsive? OTHER : Since that time, I noticed that there is a very large tree/branch on the town property in the rear of my yard. This tree/branch is touching my rear yard neighbor's electrical wires - it should be removed - it has been there since the tornado in February. Thank you, Elida C. Behar April 21, 2026

https://cascadesgolfcourse.org/ Greetings, my son Silas Ellett went to purchase his season pass at Cascades golf course today Sunday April 19. On the website it clearly shows that the 2026 season pass price for 18 and under is $245. However, when he arrived at Cascades today, they told him that that was wrong. I have attached an image file and the URL of the current website. In addition to the misinformation on the website, the personnel at the golf course were very rude. Silas was using his 18th birthday money from his birthday six days ago on April 13 to buy his golf pass for the summer. He was super excited to spend the summer at Cascades. It’s such a wonderful resource that the city provides. Our family is very disappointed by this news. I think a reasonable accommodation is to give him the $245 pass because it was posted on your website and that was a planned activity that he had for today using his birthday money. Thank you for attending to this matter. We would really like to hear from the city about this. Jodee
