Why does the city not enforce its rules on clearing snow from sidewalks, through fines? I understand that old people in residential areas can't always clear snow. But I'm talking about businesses. I tried to walk on the sidewalk up Walnut from HIlside to 2nd street today (1/27), it was not possible. There are a ton of businesses here who do not follow the rules, and it's a huge hazard because now we have to walk on the street itself, which is crazy busy. I mean you, Elkins Properties, I mean you, auto dealership, I mean you, Btown Smoketime, and even the post office! Why are these people not fined? The are businesses, cleaning the sidewalk it a part of doing business, they should be held accountable. Thank you for your attention

Trash and recycling bins at 510 West Allen (my residence) were not emptied this morning. My neighbors bins were emptied. Was this because I did not put the bins in the street beyond the big berm of snow left by the plow? I did not want the bins to be knocked over in the street. Let me know if there is any possibility the truck can get my bins. Otherwise, I will wait until next week. Just want to know why they did not pick mine up.

In Green Acres, the only east-west route for walkers to avoid walking in streets is 5th and Hillsdale to the east, north along Hillsdale, then west to campus along 7th street. In many areas the walks have either been blocked by plowed snow, or by those who shovelled out their drives, and many areas remain untouched by shovel. Could the city clear the biggest mounds of snow at least? Perhaps a bucket could scoop and drop it in a unused easement or ROW? It would be helpful if the walks could be cleared as well. Thanks. I know it's low on the list but thought I'd ask politely anyway.

Please improve snow plowing ALL intersections and ALL streets especially around corners and turning lanes. It’s hazardous driving because vehicles won’t and don’t stay in their lane because of improper snow removal. I understand it’s a bunch of snow but removing it from the streets we all drive through could have been removed more effectively for safety reasons.
I never understood why the snow plows come out for one day. They should be out every day clearing up our streets of snow, slush, & ice for safer driving in our community.
