Why there road work on that intersection
Our neighborhood recently had our sidewalks updated to be ADA acceptable and with that our driveway and sidewalk by our house was tore up. The photo above is a spot in the sidewalk they did not fill with concrete and is a hazard to anyone walking. They also left big gaps in our yard where they fixed the sidewalks which is another hazard. If we could have someone come out and look and fix this issue so no one gets hurt.
For the last 25 YEARS I have complained to the city how the owner will not cut back weeds that have grown into trees or her other 8-15 feet weeds all around the property and the city has done nothing to make her keep the yard up . Now for the last 10 years she has had Bamboo that is overtaking her yard and starting to creep into my yard. I have tried to speak with her about doing something about her yard and she does nothing. The Bamboo she has is now illigal in Bloomington.
Persistent neglect of exterior of property. Overgrowth. Trash/refuse in driveway. This in an otherwise in a generally well maintained neighborhood.
trash bad, dumpster overflowing
“Now Open” feather flags hanging over the sidewalk. Thank you!
It appears that the City's 2025 pool waiver eligibility policy has changed. In past years, waiver eligibility has been based solely on qualifying household income. Now, additional criteria has been added to also require a minor living in the household. Please consider returning to the sole criteria based on household income. It would be much more equitable to allow low-income adults to have access to city pools as well, even if they do not have children. Especially at a time with deep cuts to many federal resources for low-income people, local supports are more important than ever.
Hi, Every year our block has 1-3 fawns born and the mother deer are protective for about 3 weeks, and especially aggressive towards dogs. At the very end of the birth cycle last spring 2024, the city put a couple signs up to warn the dog walkers off our block. That would be wonderful to have again this year - our first 2025 fawn must’ve been born today in the backyard of mine (808) or my neighbor’s (810) backyard on S Fess. If we could please have 2 signs for the next month or so to post out front at the ends of the block, that would be very helpful. Some folks know the drill and move back quickly and others take less effective approaches that endanger themselves and their dogs. Thanks! MaryAnn
