Trash
Bloomington Rail Trail, Bloomington, IN, USA
- Case Date:
- 4/23/2022
There is a lot of trash, some of it potentially hazardous (motor oil, parts of appliances) between the Rail Trail and the fence, starting at the marker .5 miles South of Country Club Road. Some of it has clearly been there for years and is partially buried. We were removing garlic mustard and took some of the smaller trash but a truck and a crew of people will be needed to haul it away.

Walking from the parking lot at Sycamore along the trail there is offensive language in my opinion that should be painted over but, potentially a nice native plant mural would be refreshing! I believe this is below the E Queens Way Dr overpass.

Our alley way floods when there are heavy floods. The neighbors who share this alley are concerned and ask for the city to assess this situation and find a solution. Please contact me for more information. One of the neighbors has a video to share of the water flow. Thanks

The garbage trucks keep damaging the road in front of E 3425 Adair Ln (see attached picture taken on April 8, 2022). You patched the hole in November 2020 and May/June 2021, but the problem is not getting better. The asphalt that's piling up is not only an eye sore, but also a real safety hazard. Is there a way to provide a more permanent fix? For example, by first removing a larger area of the old surface cover and adding a stronger foundation/base layer before applying a new surface cover? Thanks for your consideration.
