Thanks for replacing curb removed to repair water main break. But, will the city fill the space behind the new curb to prevent erosion and standing water? The yard was dug up by the city to work on the water pipe.

We had a sewer blockage today. The plumber sent a camera through the sewer pipe and discovered that the fiber optic crew had pierced our sewer line, causing the back up.
I work for Mackie Properties, and we manage Ridgefield HOA. The driveway at 3916 N Whitewood Way in Ridgefield, which the City repoured last year after repairing a broken main water line, is deteriorating. We initially reported this issue to the City earlier this year, but the City did not take responsibility for redoing the driveway. Since then, we have had contractors assess the situation, and they have determined that improper installation is causing the deterioration. Today, we sent another contractor to reinspect the driveway and provide a quote for sealing it. However, they confirmed that the deterioration has worsened over the past few months and that sealing is not a viable solution. They noted that the concrete was too wet when installed, leading to its current state. We request that the City tear out the existing driveway and properly pour a new one to prevent further deterioration.
The ditch between my driveway and the adjoining driveway is clogged with dirt and debris that I want removed. I can do it, but I don't want to encroach on a neighbor's land or the City of Bloomington land without permission. the ditch is not on the pavement but may lie within the City's right-of-way, and I may need your permission or guidance to clear the drainage ditch and empty the culvert underneath my driveway. Is University Street an easement or a fee title? We also have a dead ash tree a yard from the pavement on the lot line, probably due to the Asian emerald ash borer, an invasive pest, and I have other live ash trees that I would protect. What are the rules for removing the hazard tree?

In the front driveway, they repaired the water mains in our neighborhood a couple years ago, and when they repaired the road, a ton of water goes from the road , straight down our driveway to the front of our house. It has caused water coming into the basement. And we had to install a drain in our driveway, and it still can't keep up. In our back yard, there is a channel of water (not sure what it's called) by the apartments that causes our back yard to flood. We have a tiny river, but it cannot handle the water that is directed to come right at our back yard. I would like to have an engineer come out and look at the issues and so we can have a conversation about possible solutions. Thanks.
I wish to file a request to the Utilities Dept. to survey the water main line servicing my home and the homes on E. Longview Ave. After two water main breaks in the past thirty days, I believe it would be prudent to survey the line for potential replacement or upgrade as necessary. I understand this survey may take time to allow staff to develop a plan. I hope that you might have equipment to survey to determine if there may be more weaknesses in the line or that a span of the line ought to be replaced. I would guess after two breaks, this request for survey might already be on your to do list at least for Spring 2023. Thank you -
