First time at Mills pool. What a great resource. Please be sure to keep open in addition to Bryan Park. Plus it allows for easier access of many low income families.
street lights by old courthouse building downtown in disrepair. Spoke to a City employee (Montell Large) that referred me to this site. Apparently a Chris Smith is responsible for these requests. Please let Mr. Smith know that Montell referred me to him and that these lights are hanging by a thread and need to be fully replaced in order for public safety.
I received a notice in the mail of an overdue parking citation. It had been issued on 6/20/24 and the notice said that I had failed to pay it within 14 days, so the fine was now doubled. However, I never saw the parking ticket on my car, and I never received any other notice that I had received a ticket. I do not think that this is a fair system, as parking tickets left on cars can be tampered with by other people. I have paid this parking ticket, but I'd like you to look into this policy and consider changing it so that there is some way to ensure that the person receiving a ticket actually sees it in time to pay it before it is doubled. The sidewalk & public sitting bench is tented by huge tarps covering shopping carts etc of personal belongings.
My report on parking ticket processes was closed but not resolved. My request was to look into the PROCESS not get the same information that I got before (photo of ticket on my car).

Lack of full attendance of the members of the Board of Zoning Appeals over at least the last three months is seriously hampering the capacity of the City to handle land use matters in an efficient and timely manner. The Board of Zoning Appeals has cancelled its regular meeting for July 25, 2024 for a lack of quorum. While the BZA did technically have a quorum in May and June, there were fewer than all 5 members present for the entirety of either of these meetings. City council and the mayor need to appoint BZA members who are taking this responsibility seriously without repeated absences.
