Referring a complaint received by DHS Office of Inspector General from a Bloomington IN citizen
On Kingston Drive, across from the Mall entrance where the Bloomington Transit bus stop is, and also across from the Target parking lot (side of the building), near the pedestrian crossing from the Current parking garage to the Target parking lot, there are big stones that have fallen into the road, coming from the slanted side at the foot of the parking garage. It is right at the bend of the road, so, very hard for motorists to see. And what if one comes tumbling down while a car or cyclist is just passing there? There should be a fence to keep the boulders inside or a heavy net over them, in my opinion.
The drinking fountain needs attention. Drain plugged on one side and water spraying out of fountain too hard to get a drink.
I would like to know what code or regulation at INDOT or USDOT allows barriers on the street that are high vis orange to be covered up and camouflaged? These would be the parking places in front of certain restaurants. What liability does the City haven’t allowing this to happen?
Individual back at intersection of Kingston and e 3rd st intimidating cars and people. Walking in road and shouting.
Pothole in front of 112 E First Street. Thanks you for putting it on the patch list.
I have pointed these 2 intersections out before, but just now it struck me again that at the corner of Highland and University, coming from downtown, heading towards Eastside Drive, a motorist's view is blocked by a big spruce tree, if they look to the left. The same is the case at the next intersection: University and Eagleson. Hope this excessive growth can be trimmed to create a safer traffic situation.
2 For Sale by 'Jabberwocky' signs in the ROW right across from 702 and 704 E First Street. The house for sale is 721 Fess Street. So there are 2 signs on E First, plus one on Fess. Not sure if that sign on Fess is also ROW.
'For Sale by Tucker' sign in the ROW at 915 E First Street, across from 912 E First.
Case# 188472 Sorry, The problem is at the Park Ridge Park, Longview Avenue and North Glenwood Avenue West. Someone familiar with how the drinking fountain works could possibly fix it quickly. It appears the drain is clogged on the lower of the two fountains and the water pressure when you press the button to activate it, is too high! So, if you could have someone take a look at it and make the needed adjustments, that would be great! Thanks, Warren
