Last night I tried for an hour to upload the required documents for a residential parking permit for my son’s car. The system rejects both pdfs and jpegs repeatedly. Today, I came to city hall to get the permit in person, and I was redirected to parking services on south walnut. When I arrived — at 12:45p — only one person appeared to be in the office, and she was unable to process the request and give me a residential parking permit. She indicated that the “person who could handle it,” was at lunch and would return at 1:30p. Like many, I presume, I used my own lunch hour to make an in-person visit to obtain a required residential parking permit. Staffing choices and, essentially, an office closure during a Bloomington resident’s traditional lunch hour seems inefficient and ineffective. I am standing in the parking office awaiting the return of, seemingly, the one person who can process my permit request.

There is a section of fencing flat on the sidewalk behind Kroger Seminary Square, leaving little room for pedestrians and blocking wheelchair access entirely.
Please revisit case #200395. This was never taken care of - a box of trash and recycling bin full of non-recyclables is still blocking sidewalk after weeks. Does "citation" mean a fine was issued - one that will actually be collected - or just an ineffectual "Please take care of this" note?
I am the property manager for Pavilion Properties which manages 408 S Dunn. The neighbor's trash, approx. 10 bags or so of trash is sitting right in front of our property but this is not ours it is the neighbor's trash. We are trying to see how to get this cleaned up. Thank you, Amber Anderson
There are clothes and one boot laying around on the grass by the entrance of S Walnut and where Retreat at Switchyard is at.
Ugly pothole on E Second. Also several more when you continue towards S Walnut Street.
Heaps of leaves along the sidewalk in the street, causing parking problems. The owners must not have gotten the message that the city is not picking up leaves anymore.
In October, when fiber optic line was being laid in our neighborhood, the installers inadvertently ran it through our sewer line. A few days later, the breached line backed sewage into our house. We hired plumbers to snake and inspect the line and we were able to see the blockage was caused by the fiber optic line. The fiber optic installers created a patch around our sewer line, but we were stuck with a $700+ plumbing bill. We feel that the fiber optic line installers should reimburse us for the plumbing bill, but can’t connect with anyone. A guy named Mike Nally, who seemed to be a supervisor, took our info and pics of the problem and promised to pass them on, but we’ve never heard from anyone. Can you connect us to someone who can arrange for us to be reimbursed? I have tried to attach a photo of the bill as well as of the camera shots of the blocked sewer line.
