After making a purchase (at 11:41:55am 1/10/25 according to the receipt) at World Foods Market I left and continued on foot to Kroger. Before reaching the corner with Walnut street I slipped and fell on the the sidewalk north of World Food Market's west parking lot, next to where they park their van. Some of their sidewalk is very well cleared, but the part north of the west parking lot is inadequately treated (and the sidewalk to the west of the west parking lot, as well).
Hi - I just submitted this report but realized the address that autofilled was completely wrong. It’s 302 S Walnut St. None of the sidewalks around the old Napa building and county parking lot (I think it’s owned by the county now?), has not had any snow or ice removal. These 3 sections of sidewalk have lots of foot traffic and it’s been dangerous to walk on since last week.
Street light is out between 516 and 602 West Dodds Street, 47403.
The sidewalk in front of the old Players Pub is dangerous and icey. One of the businesses and a house in this same section of the street are also dangerously icey.
Greek House just west of Highland Ave. on 3rd St. - sidewalk not shoveled
The sidewalk in front of Lambda Chi Alpha on Third Street is not cleared. It may be dangerous - I watched people slipping on it. Third St is very busy. I hope someone can clean it promptly so no one gets hurt.
Business’ fencing and snow is blocking sidewalk
In October, when fiber optic line was being laid in our neighborhood, the installers inadvertently ran it through our sewer line. A few days later, the breached line backed sewage into our house. We hired plumbers to snake and inspect the line and we were able to see the blockage was caused by the fiber optic line. The fiber optic installers created a patch around our sewer line, but we were stuck with a $700+ plumbing bill. We feel that the fiber optic line installers should reimburse us for the plumbing bill, but can’t connect with anyone. A guy named Mike Nally, who seemed to be a supervisor, took our info and pics of the problem and promised to pass them on, but we’ve never heard from anyone. Can you connect us to someone who can arrange for us to be reimbursed? I have tried to attach a photo of the bill as well as of the camera shots of the blocked sewer line.
There are many abandoned cars parked in the city right of way.
