Sidewalk Snow Removal
420 E Kirkwood AVE
- Case Date:

Have made no effort at snow removal since the first snowfall
Have made no effort at snow removal since the first snowfall
1st street between Fess and Woodlawn is treacherous with coatings of ice on sidewalks, mostly outside visibly-advertised rental properties. The stretch of Woodlawn from First through Atwater is especially bad, so that pedestrians are simply walking on the street.
Sidewalk on high street just south of Woodstock has not been cleared of snow for over a week. It wasn’t clear from the first big snow and not from this weekend either. School kids will be walking in the street.
Sidewalk not cleared, very slick outside Chipotle
snow not shoveled on sidewalk at all this week
See the picture. Bagged trash on ground in ROW @ NE corner of N. Roosevelt and E. 5th. Happy New Year.
On North Walnut Street between 10th Street and 17th streets on both sides of the road, there are several properties with sidewalks still covered with ice and snow, in apparent violation of the city's ordinance on sidewalk snow removal (BMC 6.07.010). The icy goat trails that are worn into the snow are a testament to the practical need for these sidewalks as a way to get from Point A to Point B. As the photo illustrates, some people opt to just walk in the road, instead of trying to navigate the icy goat trails. As the photo also shows, some property owners have been able to achieve clear and dry sidewalks. I would therefore request that this stretch of roadway be reviewed by HAND enforcement staff and that the available punishments under the law be applied to these properties.
The Hawthorne -Weatherstone path is still entirely unplowed. The giant pile of snow at one end was reduced but it is still entirely impassable on a bike. I reported this a week ago and nothing has been done. https://bloomington.in.gov/crm/tickets/view?ticket_id=200058
Dumpster still not emptied. I'm preparing a case against this Dumpster being on the sidewalk and will take a photo every day until it's empty (this time). It's time for fines now
