Parking lot at TLSP
What can Parks do to help stop the illegal setting off of fireworks on Parks property. This is a violation of State laws and local ordinances. The police come and just tell them to stop and leave. Leaving trash for parks staff to clean up and let alone the fire danger during drier conditions.
The spontaneous truck and sports car meet ups that take place around town and also at Twin Lakes ball field parking lot. There is drinking, underage drinking, and drugs.
They also have been doing donuts and burns in the past which harms the pavement z as no striping. Again the police come and tell them to leave. There have been promoter/ organizers for these “street / parking lot takeovers “Maybe some fines and payment for the damages would help. I know parking lot striping is not cheap. Maybe the City could put ing a street / parking lot take over ordinance similar to Indianapolis. Which has escalating fines for participating and spectators, long payment for damages.
I know for years the parks has let drink beer after ballgames has as an exception to the no alcohol in certain parks rule. Now some of the teams have been smoking pot a long with drinking beer after ballgames and then driving can not be a good thing to have out on the road.
Thanks

The curb on Union street, between 10th and 3rd streets needs to be repainted the caution yellow
It is almost completely gone and time after time as a student living at Union Street Center I have seen students park illegally in the 2-hour parking on that street blocking accessible sidewalks because the paint is gone. As an RA there, I have brought this up with my supervisor and he instructed me to contact the city, as it is an issue that should be handled by the city rather than IU itself.

In Bryan Park, ragweed along the edge of the stream that feeds Sheridan Creek. Please urge mowers to mow in a little further. It's a few inches tall now, but it can get to be 3 or more feet tall by August. (Sidebar: most of the area between the basketball courts and the picnic shelter would be like that too without mowing)

Dear Parks and Recreation Department,
We live in the residential neighborhood just across the street from Upper Cascades Skate Park. This is the second time a large group of cars and motorcycles has gathered there. During these gatherings, the motorcycles and vehicles repeatedly drive up and down Kinser Pike well beyond the posted speed limit, creating excessive noise from their engines and tailpipes.
This disturbance has been quite disruptive to our household. We have a nine-month-old baby who struggles to sleep even with our windows closed (which we shouldn’t have to close due to this disturbance), and our dog becomes frightened by the loud popping sounds.
If this group has obtained a permit for these activities, I respectfully request that Parks and Recreation notify nearby residents in advance so we can prepare accordingly. If they do not have a permit, or if this is a recurring event, I urge the department to reconsider allowing such gatherings out of consideration for those who live in the surrounding area.
This is now the second occurrence; after the first, we had hoped it would not happen again.
Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.
