1. one-way sign on SW corner is obstructed by pole-saw someone turn right off Atwater yesterday. 2. Can walk symbol flash across Atwater (south side) regardless of if someone hits the button? It's same pedestrians as Indiana/3rd intersection, and that one always shows "walk." Feels safer if they had the same behavior! Thanks :)
First, I want to thank you for keeping up with the snow and ice removal over the last several days! I know the city has been extremely busy clearing the snow and ice, and I cannot overstate how much your efforts are appreciated! I do, however, want to alert you to an issue that I've noticed at several intersections/crosswalks in this area. I noticed this issue at both the intersections of Henderson & Atwater and Henderson & Smith (hence why I've chosen a location between the two). I've attached a picture of the intersection at Henderson & Smith [taken at around 10:20 this morning, facing East] to illustrate. These sidewalks have been cleared in one direction (generally toward campus), but the sidewalks that run East/West have been completely blocked off. The ends of these sidewalks are blocked by piles of snow and ice that are 2 or 3 feet tall - taller than the fire hydrants (see picture). This means that anyone who needs to use the sidewalk has to walk out into the road in order to cross the street, which puts both pedestrians and drivers at risk, especially when the rest of the street is covered in ice. Additionally, this is a HUGE accessibility issue - anyone who has mobility issues and/or uses mobility aids, has a service animal, or is similarly impacted by blocked sidewalks will be greatly impacted. These piles of snow will only get worse with the impending snowfall tomorrow, and these will be even more of an issue. Again, I completely understand how busy the city is, and I imagine you're getting similar complaints every couple of minutes. Clearing one sidewalk, however, should not be at the detriment of another. Thank you for your time and your efforts!
Very icy sidewalk, have to go very slow or walk around in snow.
Potential fire hazard caused by plant overgrowth. Severely overgrown grass/plants between the public sidewalk and the Henderson Crossing apartments (the building closest to the intersection of Atwater and Henderson). Several are long enough to drape over the sidewalk. There are outdoor AC/condenser units next to the apartment building, but they're almost completely covered by the grass/weeds. Some of the weeds are taller than the condenser units. General recommendation is to keep 1-3 feet of clearance around these units to prevent objects from blocking the intake for these units. Maybe there's some sort of guard preventing the plants from actually blocking the intake, but I couldn't see any - I only knew the units were there because I could hear them, they're almost completely concealed by overgrowth. Utilities removed trees along Graham drive. Drastically increased drainage in our yards in Winslow Farms. A ditch was to be dug in 2017....We were notified 'ran out of time to complete' last year. Needed ASAP. Worked with engineer Phil P.

She has leak on her setup on the city side. She belives that is what is causing her driveway to rise on the side where the meter sits.
