coyotes rage through Crestmont Park and surrounding properties nightly. Some neighbors report seeing individual coyotes in their yards. One neighbor reports seeing a coyote jump a fence on W 16th and killed a cat. Feral cats have been eaten. Last night I heard what sounded like coyote vs fox killing. One neighbor claims that the coyotes live in a hole they dug by a ditch on W. 16th west of Lindbergh. I sympathize with all the creatures who have been displaced by huge complexes in the area, But these guys have got to go.

Beginning this Spring 2024 there have been motorcycles using the park as a low key motocross for at least two late teens boys. This began early April.
I approached them after a couple of weeks of the noise from their intermittent use, stating that I did not think the park was an appropriate area to be riding. they countered, saying they had just that day had a conversation with a police officer, called out in response to a complaint, who told them they could ride only in the park and not on the street.
these kids do run their bikes on 16th, N Hancock , and 15th steets.
They have been in the park 3 to 4 days each week.
I arrived home tonight about 10:05 and there were headlights and engine noise running in the park.
This dos not sit well with me. I contribute time to clearing the park of invasive species so everyone can have better, larger access to the park, and an agent of the city is suggesting it is allowable to have motor vehicles mix with pedestrians freely.
The noise is considerable at times in what is essentially my front yard

Excessive Growth
1001 W 11th ST
- Case Date:
- 5/7/2019
When trying to make a turn from Orris Dr onto W. 11th St, the excessive growth from this home obscures the view enough to where a driver has to stick the nose of his/her car all the way out on 11th to be able to see if the way is clear. Obviously, this is dangerous. It could cause an accident with cars, schools busses running to and from Tri-North, or any pedestrian walking down the sidewalk - which, in and of itself, is obscured.

The overgrowth at 913 W. 11th St is obscuring the view for drivers turning from Orris Dr to W. 11th Street t the point where a driver has to pull the nose of his/her car all the way out onto 11th St to see if the way is clear. Obviously, this could cause accidents with other cars, school busses going to/from Tri-North, or pedestrians crossing on the sidewalk.

913 W. 11th is STILL not cleaned up. The overgrowth is STILL not cut back to where the line of site is clear to turn from Orris to 11th. You have warned. You have fined. Now what is the problem? The house is unoccupied and is used by the owner for nothing but storage - or should I say dump. The trash is unsanitary, unhealthy, dangerous to the children living next door, can attract rodents and other disease-ridden animals, and is completely disrespectful to the neighborhood.

913 West 11th Street - corner of Orris and West 11th. This house is unoccupied and has become a dumping ground. There are children that live next door and in close proximity to this building. The trash is dangerous, unhealthy, and an attraction for rats and other disease-ridden creatures. In addition, the building itself is derelict and unsafe.

I had a heart attack and quadruple bypass at the age of 40 - that was six years ago. I still suffer from residual problems. Nevertheless, I was out today clearing out a fence line that my neighbor has allowed to grow up with invasive honeysuckle. The guy passed away and the property is in the middle of probate, so there is no one to do anything but me. As I was out in the heat having difficulty breathing, I got mad because I remembered the property that I have been reporting since MAY for piles of trash in the backyard and for overgrowth blocking the wheelchair ramp and driving line of sight - this property being 913 West 11th Street. I can't afford to hire someone, so I work in ways I shouldn't to keep my property nice and respectful to the neighborhood while an attorney for the city uses a property in the same neighborhood for a trash dump. Jo Stong has let this go. Jo Stong has not done her job. Jo Stong has let Michael slide because of his position. Jo Stong has NOT followed protocol with this case. Daily fines should have been given long ago. This property should have been cleaned up long ago - following city protocol, but it hasn't. There is little difference, if any between the trash now and the trash when I first reported it in MAY. Jo Stong closed the initial case as "resolved." This is fraudulent recording. The case has not been resolved or even started to be resolved. I have been watching this property closely because of the severity of the filth and garbage and its safety and health hazard to say nothing about Michael's absolute disrespect to the neighborhood. Whether intentional or not, Jo Stong has been completely ineffective and lazy with this case. I don't now if they will be any more effective, but it's because of this that, as of 6/20/2019, this case, with all of its details and photos, has been reported to IDEM.
Note: Your mapping system will not let me place a pin on 913. The address is not 1001 West 11th. It is 913 West 11th.
