Patty Pizzo contacted Susie Johnson (Public Works) about excessive growth on east side of Sare Road from McCartney Lane to Cathcart Street.
S. Sare Road & Spicewood Lane-northwest corner, shrubs, trees, grasses obscure safe entry onto Sare from Spicewood next to homes & 2751 E. Spicewood Lane and home north of it on Sare.
The new roundabout at S. Sare and E Rogers Rd. is proving to be quite a challenge for motorists. Many people fail to yield before entering roundabout and I have seen drivers literally going backwards through it. Every 3rd to 4th time I am in the roundabout someone fails to yield and I am forced to swerve, slam on brakes to avoid them. Entrances to round about need traffic enforcement and/or more signs, etc.
I recently complained about the dangerous new roundabout at S. Sare Rd. and East Rogers Rd. I would like to once again point out how dangerous this intersection is. This morning at 8:30AM a vehicle was traveling in the wrong direction through the roundabout despite perfect weather conditions/ clear visibility. This is at a time of high traffic volume at that location. An innocent person is going to be seriously injured at this intersection due to poor engineering and a lack of proper traffic controls. I am keeping a record of these complaints in the event of an incident at this location.
The bus stop sign at S Sare Rd at E Buttonwood Lane was hit by a car and is leaning. I pulled it back as much as I could by hand, but i could stand to be replaced. Thanks for your help! Travis Thickstun 2750 E Buttonwood Lane tthickstun@atc.in.gov
Hello, ticket 193145 is showing as closed, however the work has not been done. Here is the request: "Please repair potholes along Sare between Jackson Creek Middle School and Canada Drive. Cars swerve to miss them and trucks and trailers make a great deal of noise bumping around on these. Thank you." Please please repair these potholes.
Hazardous Trees - north side of Sare between Mill Stone Way and Mill Stone Court. There are two trees leaning/growing over the sidewalk and street. The larger one is leaning on a smaller tree. This likely got this way from the storm at the end of June. I fear that strong winds could topple these trees onto the sidewalk and road. Can the city do something about this danger zone please?
Orange cone left out near sidewalk
On June 1 and July 1 I reported that vegetation is blocking the multiuse path on Sare Rd. (180480 and180147) and the issue has not yet been addressed. If uReport is not the appropriate place to report the problem, please let me know and I can contact the relevant department heads, council member, mayor's office to request help. Last week, I observed a young cyclist almost fall of his bike trying to avoid the vegetation. I hope it can be taken care of quickly.
