Leaf Collection

S Chelsey Ct, Bloomington, IN 47401, USA

Case Date:
12/15/2021

I am an Adopt a Storm Drain volunteer for Queensway from High to Montclair and Sussex Dr. I have cleared leaves from drains numerous times this fall. I have cleared the drain at the SW corner of Queensway and Chelsey Ct several times this fall including raking leaves of Queensway for about four houses west of the drain onto the city easement. Today December 15, 2021 I cleared the drains because of an approaching rain event. The property owner nearest the drain on the south side of Queensway has raked not only the leaves that I had raked onto the easement last week but their entire yard into Queensway, blocking the drain completely. I suspect they will once again rake them into the street. This is one of the stormwater lines/creeks that results in flooding south along Rock Creek. Can the city take action and remove the leaves?
