Street Snow Removal
All
- Case Date:
- 2/9/2010
The streets and sidewalks are very dark when the sun goes down. I am requesting street lamps are put in place to protect those walking home from campus or the bars. As the sun sets earlier, many students are leaving class or the library after dark. I also almost hit someone driving home who was crossing the street simply because I could not see them. I believe rates of reported instances would decrease simply due to being aware of our surrounding (people).
Please consider banning parking in front of curb cuts. People with disabilities can have difficulties getting into the cars of people picking them up when other people park in from of their curb cuts. Curb cuts should be treated like driveways and should be kept open, not blocked.
Stop sign westbound on W. Allen St. is covered by trees, and I've seen 3 vehicles in the past week not stop, almost causing me to get in an accident.
The raised pedestrian crossings on Allen are almost invisible when driving east. Often see traffic hitting them way too fast which could cause them to lose control. Suggest painting them a brighter color.
This should not be an all way stop. Traffic leaving the subdivision isn't any more than the traffic leaving highland. This backs up too frequently than is necessary. And there are no other stop signs impeding traffic on winslow
I reported this area on the 28th. The sidewalk at this address is still not shoveled, nor is the majority of the City maintained sidewalk that runs E/W on the south side of Winslow. This is a major pedestrian thoroughfare, including children who walk to Childs Elementary.
School bus stop is blocked by Mountain of snow and water
Bus stop with sidewalk not shoveled.
The street light on this corner (Dunstan and Allendale) is not working.
