The drainage ditch leading into a sewer grate behind our house is outgrown and filled with debris that is blocking the sewer grate. It is typically cleaned out by the city at least once a year but no one has come for more than 12 months.
This is in reference to a prior case submission (#913401) - the prior service request was closed and listed as the property owner's responsibility but the case history for the location shows that in 2014 the same issue was submitted by my former neighbor and the city did resolve the issue with the storm drain being blocked. 9/10/2024 10:05:29 Closed by Emily Tate According to CBU records, the ditch at this location is private property, so maintenance is the responsibility of the property owner, or in some cases a neighborhood group/HOA. Hello, I work at Teach and Play ABA and it’s owned by Sara Shrivastav. She sent us an email in regards to the fire safety issues that she was made aware of and she hasn’t any intentions of making changes as of right now. I’m concerned because we’ve already had a fire in the facility and it was very poorly handled. I’m worried for the safety of myself, coworkers and children at the facility. She wrote us an email saying we are not allowed to let you in the building and it’s just very concerning to me. She has already opened two more facilities and they also don’t have sprinklers or fire alarms and I ultimately just want to make sure we’re in a safe environment. I’m also not sure if it’s structurally sound. She did a lot of the remodeling by herself so if there’s anyway someone could check that and make sure things are up to standard because she had mercury lightbulbs which caused the first fire, I would really appreciate that. I am an employee of Teach and Play ABA owned by Sara Shrivastav and I am aware that she has been told that she needs to put sprinklers and fire alarms in the facility for our safety and the children’s safety, but she has still not done that and as far as I know she has no plans to and is not taking it seriously. We have already had a fire in the building and there was 0 plan in place and was not done up to standard which makes me very concerned for the safety of myself and the children we serve. If you’re able to come as soon as possible I would appreciate that. I am choosing to submit anonymously because I don’t want to risk losing my job for reporting, but it is a safety issue that I believe needs to be addressed immediately. Cambridge Dr in Parkridge East has asphalt that is crumbling from the corner of Sheffield Dr to about 4110 Cambridge on the west side of the road. When it rains it flows down to the storm drains. Thanks for all you do and stay safe.
