Sidewalk in front of house has degraded to a point that it is dangerous if someone used a scooter in the dark along this stretch, or even walking. Next time the owner applies to renew the rental permit, please stipulate that the current sidewalk be taken up and a fresh one poured to match the rest of that block and remove the current hazard.
The pavement on the south side of 6th Street between Washington and Lincoln Streets, in front of the Monroe County History Museum is impassable for someone in a manual wheelchair. Degradation is pretty severe.
The curb area in front of Switchyard Brewing Company has no grass-419 North Walnut St. this causes a very muddy mess inside of the business we have a tempted to grow grass with no success
Damaged post on NW side of Kirkwood at Washington
Two blocks of east Kirkwood st seem to be closed off. I am asking if this is permanent? I understand its allowing out side dining which is nice. However there is a great shortage of parking in downtown. Removing 2 whole blocks of parking means that I'll never be able to park and use the restaurants that are at those locations. I cant use the library for the same reason. So I understand that this is good for students but it's bad for residents. And I think over all bad for business. I hope that after the virus scare is over you have plans to reopen parking there. What is the plan? Thanks
The snow on the west sidewalk is piled up so high it is impossible to walk through. It is more snow than nearby un-shoveled areas. It creates a dangerous situation for pedestrians, forcing them to the street.
Heavy, metal sign support with three sandbags has been sitting on the sidewalk for weeks. It blocks wheelchairs and is hazardous at night. Please ask whatever department that left it there to remove it. Thank you.
Why has case# 177801 been closed? It has not been resolved. A metal rack for a street sign has been sitting out front of 425 N. Dunn for MONTHS accompanied by sandbags. Also, while you are picking that one up, there is another, LARGER sign and rack that is lying in the shrubs on the property of Plantation North, right across from 418 N. Grant. Rental permit should not be renewed until property owner repairs the sidewalk in front of house. It is highly degraded and dangerous.
