My street runs downhill from Dunn to Walnut. In our older neighborhood, there is no infrastructure to handle stormwater. So the drainage ditch in front of my house and 3 others is the only thing that keeps our street from being flooded completely in any significant rainfall. I maintain it by weeding and cleaning out leaves and litter, along with the culvert that goes under my driveway and can become totally blocked- despite the fact that the debris that blocks it runs down from every house uphill of me to Dunn St. I'm writing two request that this ditch be repaired, as it is full of holes and water is going under it, causing even faster deterioration. Although the ditch was installed by the prior owner and not by the city, it is doing the city's job here; it is handling stormwater and preventing street flooding. This ditch is a small and short-term patch on the major drainage issue in this neighborhood which needs to be addressed in a more comprehensive way soon. My basement, which never had more than a trickle of water for the 23 years I've lived here, regularly floods now. My uphill neighbors' eastern foundation wall collapsed in a rainstorm 2 years ago. Glendora runs like a river in any rainfall, and as you know, rainfalls are getting heavier and more frequent. I will take pictures to show that my ditch keeps one side dry so that the street doesn't flood all the way across. I would really appreciate some short-term help with patching and possibly putting a grate across the culvert, along with a response about a long-term solution. I am writing to you on behalf of the Blue Ridge Neighborhood Association Board to reaffirm our sidewalk request made on March 11th of 2014 and appearing on page 85 of the 2015 Council Sidewalk Committee Packet. As you may know the neighborhood of Blue Ridge is bounded by College Ave on the West, Dunn Street on the East, and Old State Road 37 (and, in part, the Cascades trail) on the North. While Blue Ridge has many positive aspect, unfortunately walkability and biking accessibility to the rest of Bloomington is not one. Dunn Street is narrow, with low visibility hampered by hills, and College Avenue has high-speed traffic. Bloomington Mass Transit does not serve our neighborhood. These factors combine to make walking or biking into or out of Blue Ridge a challenge. It would be of great benefit to our neighborhood if some means could be found to connect our neighborhood via sidewalks to the rest of Bloomington and give our 220 households a means to safely access Bloomington other than by car. With that goal in mind, we request consideration of a sidewalk on North Dunn Street connecting SR 45/46 to Tamarack and ultimately Lakewood Drive. We thank you for considering this matter.

The water department dug this hole in my yard along with another huge hole earlier this summer. The other was filled and reseeded but this never was.

This truck is constantly parked on the street. it is obstructing vehicular traffic. When are you going to tow or ticket this person so I can drive through my neighborhood safely without hitting head on another car coming off of walnut. I have had several near misses in the last two weeks. please take action
