Hi, I contacted the city last week about a stop sign on 2nd and Ballantine that is completely covered by a tree. It is a danger as it should be a 4 way stop, but people don't see it and will fly through it. Please get the tree trimmed so it doesn't cover up the stop sign. Thank you. Best, Ingrid

Hello: I was in communication with Christina Smith last fall regarding a street light that needs to be installed on S. Fess Ave. Preferably 821 S. Fess Ave., as that is the middle of the block. The 800 block of S. Fess is totally pitch black, unless there is a full moon. I'm not sure why this completely dark street, with two homebound senior citizens living on it (my neighbors), hasn't become a priority for a street light. Please consider taking care of this soon. Fess Avenue. Each year, we install street lights within the public right of way on a petition base and available funding. I have placed your request area on are list for future consideration. This is a continuing problem at 601 S. Woodlawn (the address above is as close as I could get on your map). Two weeks ago two large dead trees were causing a hazard, dropping limbs. Trees are covered with vines but have been dead for a long time. They continue to drop dead limbs. There is also a bad patch of poison ivy near the sidewalk, creating yet another hazard.

The sidewalk is covered with a think layer of run off gravel from the alley. Can this be cleaned up and something done to prevent this from continually happening?
