Alley inbetween 427 and 429 South Henderson has not been plowed leaving the tenants stranded in their apartment buildings. Can this alley please be address as soon as you can get to it? Thanks.
The path between weatherstone and hawthorne, part of the new Hawthorne-Weatherstone Greenway, has not been cleared of snow at all. Even worse, the plows pushed all the snow from Hawthorne into a huge pile blocking the Hawthorne end of the path, so that it is completely impassable. This is totally unacceptable treatment of brand new city infrastructure, which is intended to be a transportation route.
The alley behind the houses (Highland and Hunter) 1310 E. Hunter is not passable. Can someone plow the snow and lay salt / sand? Students are starting to may their way back and need to access the alley.
The two way bike lane on Henderson between Smith and Hunter is full of snow, piled there by snow plows. This is not a sidewalk but part of the city's bicycle infrastructure and the city should not plow snow onto it.
The City (?) plowed the alley to the east of 321 S Eagleson, creating a mound blocking several parking places. Two-fold request if this is in fact a City plow: 1) Please move the mound a little further north to open up private property parking behind 321 S Eagleson. 2) Please advise your plows to refrain from plowing additional snow and blocking the parking areas behind 321 S Eagleson's private parking areas. There has been no attempt to remove snow from the bike lane on 3rd St. between Eagleson and at least Woodlawn. Also in front of Forest Quadrangle where there is some paint marking more separation than just a few inches from the car lane.
We did our best to clear the snow from this public alley last week, but the bottom layer was frozen to the street and we were unable to remove it. At this point it is very icy and we have seen several people slip and one person fall, especially when walking up and down the incline. We have also seen cars sliding on the ice, unable to brake properly. If there is any way this alley street could be salted in order to prevent future falls before it gets even colder this weekend that would be much appreciated. Thank you so much.
The alleyway mouth/sidewalk is a solid sheet of ice on both sides of Hunter Ave between Woodlawn & Hawthorne. Very dangerous for walkers/bikes/wheelchairs
Fallen tree branch across Hawthorne Dr. Branches have been cut and pushed to side of street (in front of 1025 and 1019), but need to be cleared off.
One of the Bradford pear trees damaged in the storm has a large branch -- at base probably 8-9" in diameter-- broken off and caught up on other branches about 20' up. I think a good wind will bring it down probably at least partially on the sidewalk. It's the middle of three Bradford pears on the east side of S Fess between 703 and 701. Could be the whole tree needs to be taken down? Thanks!
