The retaining drainage Channel wall below the driveway is falling apart. This is a serious safety hazard. Additionally, tons of weeds are growing inside the channel that need removal and cleanup. This over growth is another reason why the cracks are appearing and the channel walls are falling apart. Please take action promptly. Thanks.

A Cedar tree needs to be removed. I contacted the city forester a couple of years ago (and got an affirmative reply from him) to put this action on a waiting list. I called once again a number of months ago and did not receive any reply. The tree, which I believe is on city property, is growing into the power lines and is interfering with the street light on the electrical pole. I believe it might also be a vector for diseases of pine trees in the area. Thank you very much. Glenn Gero 8122728918

The fiber optic cable pit at 700 S Eastside Drive (right next to the No Parking Any time sign) is missing its (green?) cover, so now there is a big hole in the grass. I think it was blown off by a recent storm.

Cleanup of debris from June 25 storm requested. We have stacked branches, limbs, etc. at street at end of driveway. (There are many!) We put in a request (#191934) on July 11, but can no longer see that request on the uReport page.

Mr. Raff spoke with the Mayor at the Farmers Market on Saturday, 10/1. He described ongoing drainage issues on both Rose Ave and his property (704) and that of the adjacent landowner. He stated that the City has been working on the issue for a number of years, but storm water still gets backed up on the property and has lead to a mosquito problem.

Dear City of Bloomington Representative, Last night’s torrential rain brought a lot of water down our driveway from the street, some of which eventually ended up in our finished basement. We've lived at this address since 2009, and this has been a problem we've lived with since then. We’ve spent almost $15,000 on waterproofing our basement, installing storm drains at the bottom of our driveway, halfway down our driveway, and installing a berm on top of the driveway. Still, water that runs down the Anita Street takes a hard right into our driveway and overwhelms our systems. Anita Street slopes south to north, after it has turned from the east to west slope of East 2nd street. We believe a majority of the water coming down Anita Street actually ends up in our driveway. A lot of the water from the street also collects in the yard of our neighbor, Allyson Youat Schnable. Water that has come into our basement has damaged equipment, furniture, boxes and their contents, and is a threat to our foundation. I believe we have exhausted our options to comprehensively deal with the amount of storm water that is presented to us. We would love for the city to address the water coming down the street. After the heavy storm a month ago the parking strip (city property) in front of 1725 East Hunter Ave was severely eroded with the gravel/crushed stone swept down the street and the tarmac beginning to crumble. The city installed a storm water sewer in this location a couple of years ago but it doesn't catch the surface drainage from Hunter. The upstream neighbour has heavy round river pebbles in their parking strip which seem to resist erosion. Could something like this be put in the problem area? Or is there some other solution?
