Mr. Hayford is concerned about the speed of drivers in the Southdowns/Jordan Ave. area. He says a lot of people walk in the area, especially to Bryan Park. Also, his 5 yr. old daughter walks w/ her daycare program with other young children through this area every day. "This is an accident waiting to happen." PLEASE TREAT THIS AS A REQUEST FOR A SPEED BOARD TO BE PLACED IN THIS AREA (talked with Jane 8/4).
Debbie Vollmer (in Engineering Dept.) took the complaint on 11-8-96 concerning an unsafe corner @ Henderson & 2nd. Mr. Goldsmith says there are accidents happening @ the corner of 2nd & Henderson because when traveling west on 2nd St. approaching Henderson there is a small hill which once a driver crest this hill they do not have time to stop for the stop sign. Many cars are driving thru the intersection without stopping and/or there are accidents happening.
Overgrown shrubs blocking vision at intersection of Maxwell Ln. & Manor Rd.

Mr. Butland is very concerned about the pedestrian traffic in front of the TIS Bookstore. He says the signs in front of the bookstore froce pedestrians to walk out into 3rd St. and somebody is going to be killed. He also mentioned that the cars on Jordan St. do not observe the NO TURN ON RED signs.
Sunbelt had to remove two yellow lunchboard signs, and Ann questioned why Mother Bear's and T.I.S. could have them.
