"Dear Mr. Hamilton, As my council representative has been ineffective and unsuccessful in dealing with this problem, I am calling on your office for help. For over two years the resident of 1316 South Palmer Avenue has been running a used car lot at his house. There are usually no less than six cars parked in front of his house and across the street from his house at any one time. At least one or two usually have no plates. In addition, his yard is a total mess. He doesn't care about the trash that accumulates in it. If this were a problem in Elm Heights, it would have been taken care of in one day. I understand that one can sell a car from one's property, but this man needs to find a lot that is zoned for selling multiple used cars, and move his business to that place. Please help in moving this used car lot from our street. It is an eye sore and it brings down my property value. This individual regularly parks over the sidewalk with one car, and the wrong way with the other car (both pictured). Additionally, only 1 individual lives in this house, but he has 5 cars. His property is also not kept up at all, regularly storing large appliances on his front porch (like washers and dryers) failing to repair gutters and siding, and allowing excessive overgrowth in his front yard. He brings the home values of the whole street down with his neglect.

The owner of this house has at least five cars, at least two of these are junk cars and don’t run. Additionally, there is trash on his front porch, yard, and driveway that has not been cleaned up in months. Please have this resident clean up his property.

The individual living at 1316 South Palmer always has tons of trash on his front porch and in his driveway. As homeowners living (and paying taxes) in this neighborhood, we would really appreciate it if the city of Bloomington required this individual to clean up the yard and maintain the house.

This neighbor has been blocking the sidewalk with his 6 cars (one person lives there) for the past several years. At least 2 of the cars have not moved in months, maybe longer. Please help us clean up our neighborhood so everyone can walk safely on the sidewalk.

This neighbor walks his two very large dogs (black and tan Rottweiler and black Newfoundland) without a leash every day around 4-5pm. His dogs are aggressive and have attacked multiple dogs in the neighborhood both in Bryan Park and by going onto other peoples’ property. Please do something about this so that our neighborhood is safe.
