Gigabit workers left big utility mess —hazardous! I reported to them in February & contacted them several times but no repair—
"Dear Mr. Hamilton, As my council representative has been ineffective and unsuccessful in dealing with this problem, I am calling on your office for help. For over two years the resident of 1316 South Palmer Avenue has been running a used car lot at his house. There are usually no less than six cars parked in front of his house and across the street from his house at any one time. At least one or two usually have no plates. In addition, his yard is a total mess. He doesn't care about the trash that accumulates in it. If this were a problem in Elm Heights, it would have been taken care of in one day. I understand that one can sell a car from one's property, but this man needs to find a lot that is zoned for selling multiple used cars, and move his business to that place. Please help in moving this used car lot from our street. It is an eye sore and it brings down my property value. The rest of the houses in that block, and on Palmer are very well maintained and clean. Thank you very much in advance for your attention to this matter. Best regards, Michael McCafferty"
Parents and staff have shared that you cannot see westward from the SW corner of Fess and Grimes due to overgrown bushes and trees
Car parked (unattended) blocking alley between Dunn & Palmer along Wilson street. This has happened several times in the last couple weeks.
Truck parked in alley between S. Dunn and Palmer again (on Wilson) - blocking access to alley for residents.
Renata called to state there was excessive overgrowth in alley running north/south found between 1st & Wylie, between Washington & Lincoln.
Two pickup trucks parked in middle of alley.
1409 S Lincoln. Sidewalk overgrown with bushes etc.
1115 S Walnut, Circle S and the corner of grimes and walnut. 7:30 am. Semi parked on the wrong side of the road on grimes. The truck is headed east, parked in west bound lane. The truck parks there to make a delivery rather than parking in the lot. Driver headed towards walnut have drive in eastbound lane to pass, blocking that lane. The truck is also blocking the city bus stop. I am sure that the truck is gone by the time this report is received, but the when I asked the manager about this since it is happening every Tuesday, he replied that is the way that company does it and people will just have to be patient. I disagree. This is not a beer truck on walnut where there are two other lanes to get around. This is a semi truck parked on the wrong side of a small road blocking traffic and a city bus stop even though there is ample space in the parking lot to do their job.
Status says case #168693 is closed yet this semi continues to block traffic by parking on the wrong side of the road as we as blocking city bus stop. Approximately 7:30 am Tuesdays. Very dangerous. Manager of stores does not understand why truck does not use lot as they used to do. I have lived on Lincoln and driven by this location for 6 years, this has just started in the last month or so.
