Hi, I don’t know if the parks department or city cares much about it but there are large patches of Japanese knotweed growing along the trail. It's a tricky plant to get rid of and requires strategic doses of herbicide at specific stages in it's life cycle and for multiple years. Y'all might already be aware and I've chatted with a lady working on other invasives along the trail. I live in Broadview 2nd and have been keeping my eyes out for it to keep it out of the neighborhood. I just wanted to bring it to someone's attention. The subreddit for invasive species seems to have the most up to date methods of attack and discussion I've found. Cutting it down only makes it angry and dig in/spread more. The trees and bushes in the Rail Trail parking lot along Country Club Drive are getting rather overgrown. The branches and bushes are obstructing the pedestrian and bicycle path that goes along the east edge of the parking lot to connect the Rail Trail to the B-Line. Can this all get trimmed back? Cut it back far enough it doesn't just grow right back in 2 weeks. Thanks.

Yesterday morning, Wednesday August 20, at approximately 11:00 am, I was riding my bike southbound on the B-Line trail through Switchyard Park. In front of me on the trail was a riding lawn mower. As I pulled around to pass the mower on the left, the driver turned left without looking and knocked me off my bicycle. No one was injured, but the front wheel of my bike is wrecked. The incident occurred near light pole BL 29, which appears to have a security camera on it, in case it's helpful to review the camera footage. The operator of the mower is named Larry Norris, he works for Green Dragon Lawncare, under contract to perform maintenance services for the City. If it's possible to have my wheel replaced by their insurance, I would appreciate it. Thanks.
