See case #201753, among others. At what point can you stop citing the company that owns the land around the B Line for trash removal (believe it's the car dealership) and just... clean it up? and charge them for it? Because I've now reported this pile of trash/former camp at least 4 times in the last six months and not a single thing has happened to clean it up. The property owner doesn't care until it costs them money. Make it cost them money, please.
Trash and recycle containers left on side of street for weekly pickup and they stay thereā¦..never removed. This has been ongoing for months. The recycle still on side of street after trash retrieval 5 days ago. Trash container was with it but was gone this morning. Apparently people deposit trash and recycle on the side of the road and bring their trash from inside their home to the street and the containers are usually overflowing. Bizarre!
This bag just showed up one day. I can't physically move it by myself, but I think it's on the city's right of way. I'm not sure so that's why I'm filling this out. It's on Watson and Bryan. Pic attached. I tried moving it, but I think it's filled with concrete or sand? It's been there for months. I would move it myself if I could, but it looks like people passing by are now throwing trash into it.
Trash cans routinely left at street for both units.
Vehicle blockers broken on Ralston b-line spur on Ralston at both Madison and Bryan streets. Also there is still ice and snow on the b-line spur in the same location.
I've recently noticed the Rail Trail between Country Club Drive and Gordon Pike has sections of large gravel (see attached photo). I appreciate that maintenance is being done, assuming the City is responsible for this work. But, I am concerned because this large gravel is inconsistent with the existing surface for the trail. As a bike commuter and runner on this section of the trail, I was disappointed to see large gravel appear on the surface. The Rail Trail is a great surface to run and walk on and commute on. These patches of large gravel pieces diminish it's utility and enjoyment. Are there plans to use large gravel more often on the trail? I request that the smaller, packed surface be maintained. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing from you about the maintenance of the trail. Have a great day.
The Rail Trail needs some work! It needs YOU to show it some love. There are some problems . . . FIRST: Entering the Rail Trail from Country Club, the trees / shrubs at the parking lot are overgrowing into the sidewalk / path along the parking lot. You can almost not see the handicap parking sign from the overgrowth, too. The sidewalk is being impeded horizontally as well as vertically from branches hanging down. SECOND: There are numerous low hanging branches between Country Club and Gordon Pike on the trail. On a bicycle, these require ducking or maneuvering around. This can be hazardous. THIRD: There is a dead tree that is leaning over the trail, resting its top on another tree across the trail. That is between Country Club and Gordon Pike. This is maybe 1/3 to 1/2 a mile south of the Country Club Drive parking lot. This seems like it is ripe for falling on someone or blocking the trail, as it hangs there perilously. FOURTH: Someone goofed and put oversized gravel on the trail to fix some holes. This gravel is not safe on the trail for multiple reasons. One reason is that it is looser than the other gravel, so it is a change in surface that can cause bikes or walkers to lose balance. Also, the gravel is bigger so it is tougher to ride or walk or run across, and could cause injuries. As a result, people swerve around it and try to avoid it. This is causing people going in one direction to impede those going in the other at times. Can we get some smaller gravel / fill that matches the existing bed of the trail put in place? Having that big gravel is a total disaster creating multiple problems. I've almost lost balance / control on my bike in that bigger gravel. It needs to be replaced ASAP.
Hello -- where the parking lot and sidewalk end and the Rail Trail begins (at the trailhead on Country Club Drive), there is a growing issue. The height difference between the trail and the sidewalk is becoming a real trip hazard for pedestrians, an accessibility issue for others, and a flat tire waiting to happen for cyclists. Is there a way to get this fixed up a bit? But please, please, do NOT use giant gravel. The parts of the Rail Trail that were patched with giant gravel are a disaster. Leave the bump instead of using big gravel if that is the only set of options.
