The current congestion on W Bloomfield Rd., west of Highway 37, seems to be caused in part by the timing of traffic signal here (the intersection of W. Bloomfield Rd., S. Basswood Dr., and S. Oakdale Dr.), Almost all the traffic here is east-west on Bloomfield Rd. There is very little traffic on Basswood Dr. or Oakdale Dr. But the but the traffic signal stays green for a very long time for the south traffic on Basswood Dr. and the north traffic on Oakdale Dr. I think the congestion of Bloomfield Rd. would be alleviated somewhat if the traffic signal at this intersection were reset so that it stayed green longer for the ease-west Bloomfield Rd. traffic. It seems with the hospital construction that the speed limit signs (20MPH) coming onto E Discovery Pkwy from the bypass were never replaced. There is also a "children at play" sign way up on the hill by the childcare's fence, but there is nothing within driver view, near the road, that indicates this area should be slower and that children may be present. Could you please consider adding these signs for the safety of the children? People have been FLYING through there at 40+ MPH. Thank you.

South bound lane,West side of street, going uphill, there is a prominent outward portion of the curbing. It is painted yellow, but now black from repeated contact by vehicle tires. It needs to be rounded off, and move toward the sidewalk. When I struck this prominent angled curb, it resulted in a blowout of my right front tire. The Bland wrecker truck driver said “ Oh, I get lots of business from that curb” so my experience is not unique. Please fix for the nest drivers, and contact me if there are any questions. Timing improvement college mall road/coventanter stop light - before 7am eastbound covenanter gets green light, then westbound even if no one is there, then there are turn arrows.....makes for a long light for stopped College Mall Road vehicles when traffic is very light at that time of day.

Overgrowth encroaching on sidewalk on the SOuth and east side of 7th across from the Realto. Many of the street trees have low hanging branches. FYI to add to the maintenance list.

Unexpected, unmarked angle in pavement within the 7th St biking lane. This is an addition to the pavement surface that is unsafe for cyclists. It is a hill that is angled for water runoff but not in the private property of the apartments. Not a city addition. Please make it level with the street. Thank you.

When work was being done on Tapp and Rockport, temporary sets of speed bumps were put in on Adams Hill Circle and Countryside lane. Every morning when I drive to work I travel Adams Hill Circle to Countryside to Rockport and go over 5 sets of speed bumps, and I go over the same 5 sets on the way back home. The temporary speed bumps are no longer needed since the construction at Tapp and Rockport is complete. I would argue they are no longer needed at all, but if members of the community still want some, please remove at minimum 3 out of these 5 speed bumps on this route; they are excessive.

DANGEROUS! Turning left on to Vernal Pike form Crescent Rd, the site line for 17th St is terrible. LOTS Of near accidents. Needs a traffic triggered stoplight!

We have noticed since we moved to Hoosier Street in South Bloomington about two years ago that it is increasingly difficult to turn out from our street not only during peak driving hours, but increasingly so throughout the day. In addition to it being difficult it is also quite dangerous. There are several reasons for this. First, being the high volume of vehicles on walnut which is two lanes in this area. There is also a large hill north of the intersection which makes it difficult to see traffic coming south on Walnut. In addition at the bottom of the hill heading south the speed limit increases from 30 to 40mph. As a result motorists start to accelerate coming down the hill before the speed limit sign and shortens the amount of time to pull onto walnut. Finally, if turning left off Walnut onto Hoosier or Ridgeview is increasingly dangers as other motorists will drive around the turning driver. This could be prevented by painting lines, putting in curbs, etc. Today we had a multiple car crash that resulted in our neighbors mother going to the hospital. I'm frankly am surprised that it has taken this long to occur. This intersection is a ticking time bomb. We are always nervous turning into our street that we will get rear ended and turning out onto Walnut at some parts of the day is impossible. Additionally we live on a dead end street. When we go for a walk to get to a side walk or a local park we have to cross Walnut with no crosswalk and no traffic signal to stop traffic. This intersection is completely in accessible and cuts off our street from the rest of the the neighborhoods in the area. It would be great to allow the young families with children and pets on our street to be able to safely access walkable neighborhoods and city parks. Please consider making changes to this dangerous intersection for the safety of the city's citizens.

I have a 10 year daughter and a 12 year old son. There are many younger kids in this neighborhood one of which has autism. Many cars throughout the day and night drive too fast around the curve on this road. I'm afraid that a child will be hit by a car. It would be great if a speed bump could be installed here since speed limit signs are not being adhered to.
