Hello, this is in reference to #199395 that my wife submitted. it appears that they only had covered over less than half of the bad road. Our neighbors yard was also just run over the other day and somebody came back to put hay on it. Our curb also gets run over and has damaged our trees before. This is to ask if we could put some sort of guard rail or not a rail, but a guard pole to keep cars off of our properties. And to report the unfinished roadwork. Thanks for your time. I’m writing with deep concern about the potential impact of the fiber optic project at our home at 809 S. Stull Ave. On Nov. 25, a work crew moved heavy equipment onto our property and proceeded to operate with no advance warning or permission. We are currently out of town for the holiday, and a neighbor took the attached photo. We are astounded not only at the trespass, but also at the potential damage. We just spent significant money and time purchasing and planting bushes and several trees in the area where the crew was working. We are concerned also about our recently laid sewer line, and about the drilling of holes (see photo) directly next to a very large pin oak tree. We won’t be home and able to assess any damage ourselves until Dec. 8 but are anxious to hear from you ASAP about 1) recourse if there is damage to our property, and 2) city policy regarding work crews entering private property without warning or authorization.

There is a large construction caution sign that was left standing next to the sidewalk by the fiber optic installation crew. It has been here now for over 2 weeks without any obvious work still going on.

The crews installing fiber have left multiple construction signs in this general vicinity from Dunn heading to the west at least one block- they have been abandoned for over a month

On the south side of Allen St, between Walnut and Washington, someone cut a hole in the street and filled it with small rocks that are just spreading everywhere. They also upended the adjacent sidewalk panel and tried to just lay it back down again. Maybe the fiber company?

822 S Fess again. The gigabit people are at it again. End of driveway and into neighbor. Left a hole and trash, plastic debris and empty water bottle. Just abandoned with a hole by neighbors tree at end of drive way. Please get these people under control. So they have left this as if they started digging, changed their mind and left. Then they dug up my front yard and then on Monday, a water main rupture from their digging. ALL other installation has been down the alley WHERE the power lines run. Please respond. Issue #3.

The fiber optic company is at it again. I was In Indy all day and come to a blocked street with the fiber optic company striking a water main in the middle of Fess Avenue. Not only did they dig up my yard without notification and it still remains dirt covered WITH NO grass seed, I came home tonight after being in Indy ALL day to finding my driveway inaccessible with 4-5 city trucks, trailers and workers fixing a WATER MAIN break caused by the gigabit folks trying to install fiber optic UNDER the street and hitting a water main line. Who in the city hired and who manages these people??!! Enough is enough!
