You all changed the path and direction of northbound traffic at the roundabout at Sare and Rogers. As a result, traffic is backed up each morning and people are almost running into each other. Why the change? After all this time you just decide to change it? Really...? Another poor decision with regard to streets and traffic. It only makes morning commutes more difficult and unsafe. I can only image how congested this will make school bus traffic later this summer. You cannot fill in a pothole or repave a road, but you can change traffic markings on a roundabout after five (5) or six (6) years...?

What is wrong with the City transportation people! We already have the worst traffic in Bloomington. Absolutely DO NOT eliminate the one ways of Atwater college etc. to create slow and jammed skinny streets without any alternatives. Biking is great and so is walking but we all can't afford to live 200 feet from work and school and some of us must get across town. Neighborhoods are great but Bloomington can't be one giant one with zero arterials. That is crazy. We need several large and frankly expanded arteriajs to get across town in both directions. And then if you want to have slow and multi use webbing that is great. But we still need major trafficways. Stop killing or economy and time by creating logjams. Please please keep two lane roads. Also with the new construction for students miles from campus in the East there better be a plan to keep them from jamming things up. We need a healthy third or other east/west large and speedy road all the way through town. The same with North south options. Stop catering to white liberal privilege of folks with enough money and time to buy a downtown historic home and take their electric bike to work. That isn't the reality of working people.

Why did you change the traffic flow of this roundabout? It use to flow very smooth. I drive northbound on Sare each day, and now that you have changed the flow, I wait each morning at the roundabout. When school starts, it will be a mess. When those apartments fill up and the rest of the Lakes is build, it will be much, much worse. Please consider changing it back to the way it was. Someone has too much time on their hands to change things like this, or else you have faulty data. It would have been nice if you asked for public comments before you changed it.

The current congestion on W Bloomfield Rd., west of Highway 37, seems to be caused in part by the timing of traffic signal here (the intersection of W. Bloomfield Rd., S. Basswood Dr., and S. Oakdale Dr.), Almost all the traffic here is east-west on Bloomfield Rd. There is very little traffic on Basswood Dr. or Oakdale Dr. But the but the traffic signal stays green for a very long time for the south traffic on Basswood Dr. and the north traffic on Oakdale Dr. I think the congestion of Bloomfield Rd. would be alleviated somewhat if the traffic signal at this intersection were reset so that it stayed green longer for the ease-west Bloomfield Rd. traffic. Thank you for considering my suggestion.

Is it possible to have a crosswalk painted on 3rd at Rose? Today I saw a blind person trying to make the crossing. Per the email below, a few years ago, it seemed this was a possibility. Yes. Thank you in advance for reading my inquiry. I would like to suggest a sidewalk due to a safety concern that effects children and disabled persons. Referring to the intersection at E Rogers Road and the Stands Drive. There is no sidewalk along this street connecting the stands road sidewalk to the crosswalk at the roundabout at the bottom of the hill (i.e., the area on the south side of E Rogers Road). Moreover, the sidewalk on the other side of the street is completely inaccessible for those with impaired motor function or wheelchairs (there is a large hill with steps only and no ramp). There are two major concerns here: (1) there is no possible way for a disabled person with a wheelchair to travel on E Rogers road (from the roundabout at the bottom of the hill up to the stands drive). (2) There is no way for families and children to safely walk to Child's elementary from this location (the Stands dr). Given that E Rogers road is a busy street with limited visibility for drivers and no crosswalk exists at the intersection of the Stands drive and E Rogers Road, it is extremely dangerous for children and families that wish to walk their children to the designated elementary school - Child's Elementary. This is the only direct walking path to Child's Elementary for all of the constituents that leave in the Stands neighborhood. There is no sidewalk on the south side of E Rogers Rd to connect the Stands Dr with the crosswalk at the bottom of the hill at the roundabout. Several constituents have expressed a safety concern. I also witnessed one woman and child almost get hit by a car at this busy intersection as they attempted to cross the street. I'd be happy to answer any additional questions. There is a significant amount of vegetation encroaching into the sidewalk along the northeast corner of the High Street roundabout. We use this sidewalk to connect from our Sycamore Knolls neighborhood over to the Jackson Creek trail, and it has become extremely difficult for our young kids to navigate this on their bikes. Can this please be trimmed back?

The sidewalk along High Street just south of Hillside has been closed on both the east and west side of High Street, with no consideration for pedestrian traffic. Couldn't some consideration been given to pedestrians here?
