Have reported this before, never got an answer. I was told it was something to do with the city and guard rail study. The trail at this location is below the grade of the road on Moores Pike. I requested evaluation for a guard rail to protect walkers from a car leaving the road and rolling over the hill. This is a high speed road and it is very unnerving to walk along this trail. Send someone out and stand there to see what I mean.

Cars parked in little tid bits and cars parked on the opposite side of the street blocks the road. I almost got hit from someone turning left onto N Washington Street because it turns into a one way street when everyone is parked. Please evaluate when cars are parked (during the day 3-5 pm expecially). I am not able to go up to the stop sign because there is a major blind spot someone can turn left into me. There is also a MAJOR pot hole on this road.

I apologize..I'm not sure I picked the right category. I would like to request a crosswalk at 11th and Walnut..across walnut. The bus stops there and let's large groups of students off that then cross, going west. After dark, I'm worried someone will get hit especially. Thanks in advance. Susan Hingle

An anonymous complainant alerted the Solid Waste District about "illegal dumping" of ash wood, as well as concrete and trash at this location. We did a quick inspection and found wood and other materials piled on the ground at the property. Additionally there is a trailer that appears to contain household waste, and there is trash around one of the buildings (on Allen Street side). The corner of Moores Pike and Claris currently has flashing Yellow lights to help pedestrians cross Moores Pike. Drivers view yellow lights as a call to speed up not Stop. I walk there frequently but cars seldom slow or stop Sometimes the cars speed up, either to beat the light or to run over me. Perhaps it would help to change the lights to red which means Stop. Or install a regular stop light. Also, at the Southeast corner of Hillside Dr and College Mall Rd. The crossing light turns on when the vehicles turn right from Sare Rd onto Hillside Dr. This is very dangerous for the pedestrian since the corner is not visible to the cars turning right. We have seen increased instances of deer being hit by cars behind our home (1519 Bradshire) at Winslow and S. Xavier Ct. in the last year and would like signage posted to alert drivers that there is a wildlife hazard. We commonly observe afternoon eastbound drivers failing to stop at the stop sign at Winslow and Allendale and speeding down the hill toward Xavier Ct. where they regularly encounter wildlife. The greenway just east of Xavier Ct. is a common crossing point for deer, coyotes, foxes and other wildlife. For the protection of the drivers, the many children who live in the area, and the wildlife, we request that signage be posted. We would also be glad to see increased monitoring of the stop sign at Winslow and Allendale. Thank you.
