The left turn arrows don't turn on anymore, I'm assuming they were never set back up at the computer box after football season. I work at Athletics and have been meaning to report this for months, Haha. Thanks!
Is this broadband or sidewalk related? Concrete saws at work all over my neighborhood. That cut and some possibly related cracks running from utility covers to the curb are the first since I had my sidewalk replaced in the mid-1990s. For good reason, I assume.
This intersection is a fatality waiting to happen. I just watched an inattentive driver blow straight through the stop sign coming south on Covenanter. If the driver already stopped on Cadillac hadn’t been paying attention when they had the right of way, they would have been t boned by an suv traveling over 35mph. The intersection is too large and really should be a roundabout
Perhaps a review of 7th Street from Eagleson to the intersection of Union is needed. Observations: There is only 1 "no parking" sign on the south side of the road for east bound traffic - it is located at the eastern end near Union - not helpful or visible to those entering from Eagleson. There are no bike share markings on the road, nor centerline. I have observed people turning left from Rose going west who behave as though this a one way race track westbound until met with oncoming traffic with interesting results. The east end pedestrian/bike lane design is atrocious as well being offset causing confusion for drivers, pedestrians, and bicyclists alike. I suppose if everyone has to stop, traffic will cease at least momentarily until some brave soul ventures into that mess. That is to say if they do stop instead of blowing thru the pedestrian crossing, or stop sign. Food for thought for the next road use checkup.
Would it be possible to have a NO OUTLET sign posted at the corner. We get many cars turning into our street as people think it goes through as a short cut. Thank you.
The parent pick up lane continues to cause major issues with this street. The parents block the area where there is a lane merger with a cross walk. The parents need to follow the rules of the road and wait until the line is moving allowing the residents of the area to use that street. The teachers that guard there are rude, and will not allow you to go past even with no kids in sight. I understand there is another way through the neighborhood, but it is out of the way, and doesn't stop the fact that they are not above the law, and that street should not be blocked for ANYTIME. If there was an emergency, is it right for a loved one to have to wait for help due to a parent pickup line? This is an issue that can be EASILY fixed with the guards stopping the parents from blocking the merged area allowing for the traffic to flow. This has been brought to the school who basically puts their hands up like it isn't their teachers out there yelling at residents just trying to make it home.
This intersection is very difficult to see around when you are trying to come off of 8th st, street parking blocks visibility to see if cars are approaching from N Walnut, and often times results in having to inch up into the crosswalk which blocks pedestrians. Even inching up is often times not enough as the front end of a car can stick out into the left most lane of N Walnut. There needs to be something done to increase visibility for 8th St. as it is not a protected intersection.
Is there any way we can have the intersection of 5th & Rogers St. traffic light automated? What will it take to use some demand sensors / cameras at this intersection? The signals churn through every 'mode' -- protected turn arrows when there is nobody in those turn lanes. This intersection has been a frustration for.... a long time. please help!? Ken Horrocks
Truck almost hit the street sign that was fixed earlier today from a different truck hitting it…
