The sidewalk on the west side of High is completely blocked by overgrown bushes and trees. This is urgent because kids can't use the side path to get to school and this would be the best alternative for all the kids who live north of Childs.
I have previously submitted uReport on this. Definitely appears to be a sinkhole. Much deeper and cone can fully sit inside. The road under appears caving in. I have more pictures if needed. I can only attach one.
Picture is on property of 206 s Fairview and looking east. Huge hole. Unclear if sinkhole as area of old quarry or if recent digging for fiber optic contributing. Hole is about 1 ft across and about 2 foot wide. It caverns under the road slightly and appears to go deeper under the property on 206. Since there is no side walk, people often walk on the grass in that exact area. I walk this way often and first time seeing it this evening.
"Road Construction Ahead" sign is still at 206/208 South Clark St. even though the work on East Third appears to be finished.
The board material that has been placed in front of the Princess Theatre during construction is warping and unsafe. An individual just fell all the way to the ground from tripping on the uneven surface at 1:45pm. The material also appears as if it would be very slick when wet. Very unsafe.
Dear Government, I have been living here for about 13 years, and in this time it has become clear to me that there is a problem at the intersection between Rusgan Drive and Ramble Road West. You see this intersection has been my bus stop for years, and whether it's the dark of morning when I leave or daylight when I get back people speed right by as if there were no speed limit. This is only made worse by the fact that the intersection is half blind because it lies at the bottom of a small hill. So for the well being of myself and the children of the neighborhood I am requesting that this intersection be changed to a three way stop. I believe this would force the people of the neighborhood to drive at a more reasonable speed and therefore make my street much safer. I believe my neighbor across the street, the father of a small child, previously wrote the city requesting the same thing. I myself am just a teenager. So you know that once the problem has reached the point where a teenager takes time where they could have been doing nothing to write the city about traffic regulation, it's probably not just nothing. And considering others have written about this in the past, I frankly find it foolish to wait until someone actually gets hurt to take action. Thank you for your time and consideration, P.S. Hi there, I wasn't sure what section to file this complaint under, since it is related to a loud construction project that has been ongoing on High street for several weeks. There was no major issue up until today, August 6. It is now almost 10:30 PM and the construction has not finished for the night. There is a loud machine (a pump, maybe?) that has continually run since about 8:30 pm and is showing no sign of stopping. We have small kids who are sensitive to noise, and we live right next to the construction. I understand the workers have to complete their task, but to go this late at night seems disruptive to folks in the area. Thanks.
I own the law firm at the corner of 4th St. and Walnut Street. My parking lot access is from the alley on 4th street. The city allows street parking on 4th street up to the entrance of the alleyway. When pulling out of the alley, it makes it impossible to see if traffic is heading east on 4th street when there are cars parked in the spots next to the alley. A space or two needs to be removed so that people can safely pull out of the alley to turn left without getting hit by oncoming traffic.
