I'm very excited to see the new High Street multi path finally being developed, however I do have 2 concerns about the project. First, access for our Sycamore Knolls neighborhood into the Jackson Creek Trail has been effectively cut off during construction, and there is really no safe way to bike to the trail with small children unless you ride on High Street. Better consideration should have been given to maintain pedestrian access after removing the existing sidewalk on High Street. Second, it is disappointing that the trail will end at Arden. It would have been nice to see in continue north for another half mile to Marilyn/Covenanter, and connect into the existing Covenanter Greenway. That would have greatly expanding access for the Southeast side of town towards the B-Line trail utilizing this existing greenway.
1203 s Lincoln. Overgrown weeds blocking sidewalk. Elderly lady on mobility scooter unable to get past as well as other pedestrians without going into the street. But those is wheelchair unable to get back onto sidewalk over curb.
I don't think 10th really needs expanded but if you do that recommendation make sure a signal goes in at 10th and Smith. It's already dangerous there turning left from Smith. Right turners squeeze by and obstruct view. Left turn protections and flow needs improved both at 10th and Smith and Third and Smith
West sidewalk on college avenue under the train bridge at about 11th Street is blocked by dense vegetation both north and south of the train bridge.
Sidewalk on the south side of 14th Street just west of college avenue. This is on the north side of the railway manors 923 North college. Completely obstructed by trees hanging from above.
710 e. first street. pampas grass obstructing sidewalk
Pile of yard debris on the south side of the creek needs to be removed as there's a family of skunks living in it. Debris has been there for years but all previous homeowners claim it's "too hard" to clean that side of the creek when the city didn't provide them with a way across it.
House appears to be vacant and in disrepair. Completely overgrown.
My office is located at 2909 S Sare Rd. There was some work done on Sare Rd and a sign was placed by my office but has yet to be removed. Can someone come by to remove it?
