I'm the manager of Big Red Liquors. I have had several issues with the intersection in front of my store. It has been frustrating over the past couple years, but my recent incident has pushed me to want to request some signs.
First, a right turn on red must yield to U turn. Too often have I had close calls from people not only failing to yield the right of way, but running the red light while doing so. I've nearly been hit multiple times.
Second, I believe a no left turn sign is needed on the south side of the intersection. Our entrance is purposely designed so vehicles can not enter from that direction (per the request of the city). There have been accidents due to people making a left turn. Not to mention the angry customers who don't recognize that the entrance isn't made to accommodate a left turn. They have seriously damaged their vehicle attempting to enter our parking lot.
Finally, I have had a very serious issue with people driving through our parking lot at a extremely dangerous manner, to avoid the street light. They speed through thr parking lot, drive over the sidewalk, and have caused accidents. I have nearly been run over multiple times. As well as other employees, customers, and our delivery drivers. I would like to request some kind of sign stating that it is illegal to use our parking lot to avoid the intersection.
Thank you for your consideration.

Many drivers passing East or West on Dodds do not realize that Lincoln Street (one-way, Northbound) traffic does not have a stop sign. I live on this corner, and work from home in sight of this intersection, and I see many many close calls, as well as accidents as traffic coming full speed North on Lincoln are suddenly confronted with drivers on Dodds who have stopped, and then started into the intersection, assuming they have the right of way.
Could we possibly get "cross traffic does not stop" added to the Dodds stop signs? I doubt that the accident reports fully reflect the dangers.

At the crossing between walnut and college between the bypass an 17th (next to verve)
The westbound lane has a detour sign pointing right. There is only one tiny one way sign. This will end in someone inevitably going the wrong way following the badly placed detour sign.

There is a Detour sign across from Griffin Realty pointing north on College Ave. College Ave is one-way street going south. I have kept a spreadsheet of cars going the wrong way for several years. The number has increased tremendously during the month of August 2024. January - July 2024 I witnessed 18 vehicles driving the wrong way. In August there have been 25 vehicles driving the wrong way. I'm only at the office Monday-Friday from about 11:00 am to about 5:00 pm - so there are probably many more. It seems to me that something should be done about this. Thanks, Rachel LaGrange

Sidewalk closed sign laying in the tree plot. There's no construction going on around here, so I am not sure how or why it's here. Just thought I would let you know in case you are missing one.

Eagleson Ave

we have a high volume of traffic. The traffic is in the form of many cars, buses, bikers, scooters, and walkers. There are no speed limit signs on the street. Additionally, there is no pedestrian crossing. Additionally, I would like to request a stop sign at the corner of University and Eagle Avenue. This is to slow traffic. Currently, cars and buses drive over the speed limit as a regular Habit. It is loud, and dangerous to the other Traffic, such as walkers. The cars are dominant on the street. Even if there is a parent with a baby in a stroller, they will still run through the stop sign and drive around the baby. It is chaotic and out of control. It is also very loud. Something needs to be done to address the situation. My suggestion is pedestrian crossways at first and Eagleson, University and Eagleson, and a stop sign at University and Eagleson. Additionally, we need some signs that tell people what the speed limit is. It should be 25 mph. It is a residential neighborhood.

Ornamental grass from residence obstructing stop sign at 1st and Mitchell. Cross traffic from 1st does not have a stop sign making the intersection very dangerous if obstructed sign is not observed.

These road work signs have been here for many weeks and they create a very dangerous situation for people turning from Rock Creek north onto High Street, especially during the hours when Childs school pickup and drop off is happening. You cannot see the oncoming traffic!

High & Maxwell, Bloomington, IN 47401, USA

I sent in an earlier report (uReport Case #188352) about the traffic issue at the corner of High Street and East Maxwell Lane but might not have put the corner in the body of the message. The issue is that north/south cars regularly don't stop at the stop sign, endangering the many walkers on Maxwell Lane. It may be that bushes on the northwest corner need to be trimmed, but it also may take more than that to resolve the problem.
