Fiber-optic people bored a hole through the street, then filled it up with gravel instead of asphalt. Now, the gravel has washed away and there is a hole that someone could step in and trip. It is close to the scooter corral on the SW corner of Grant/Cottage Grove.
Clarification for case #199848: We believe the report was meant for 415 E. 10th. The people involved with the demolition are *very* amateurish - blocking traffic by running out in the street, and the bucket used to tear down the building almost fell over a couple times. hould have been done more systematic so that some of the materials could have been saved. Difficult to get through sidewalk on NW corner of this lot because of weed growth stemming from vines on a tree on this property and also a tree in the ROW that is proximate. Because the trees are so close to each other, the overgrowth of the vines from them is hindering pedestrian passage between them. Property is owned by IU (as per Elevate).
I'll admit that this isn't one of the more extreme instances of "excessive growth" by any means, but it nonetheless reaches beyond the property and obstructs a portion of the sidewalk. The other day I had to pass by another person here and essentially found myself walking through plants/bushes.
