This individual continues to place his Company signs on and round our Hawthorne I subdivision.(Hawthorne Hills) I would ask the City to become involved and request these be removed immediately. They are unsightly! Please let me know if you are able to take care of these within our subdivision. Thank You.
The intersection of Moore's Pike and Smith Road is dangerous coming towards the intersection going north on Smith Road. There needs to be a stop ahead sign put out. During Winter we have cars drive into our front yard close to our house from having to slam on breaks to avoid a collision.
Turning left from 11th street to North Walnut. In order to see the south to north traffic on North Walnut it is necessary to edge out into North Walnut in order to see traffic. Cars that are turning left can usually get around your car if you are turning left, however, today a city bus was turning left, there was a car behind me, so I couldn't back up, I tried to move to the right but that didn't work but finally I did back up so he was able to get around me. Therefore, something needs to be done to improve the visibility of the traffic at that corner.
New bicycle sign completely blocks the line of sight for oncoming traffic in both lanes. You need to pull out so far to see around the sign, you are already in the travel lane. Bicycle station sign needs to be turned the other direction parallel to Dunn street, removed, or lowered so that it does not block line of sight.
People daily continue to zip through stop signs going north and south at Smith and Morningside. It is dangerous. PLEASE can the City add flashing lights to the stop signs at least the Smith ones, paint the crosswalks back and/or something to help enforce people properly stopping there . Thank you!!
Our street, North Fritz Drive, is receiving a significant amount of drive-through traffic of people trying to skip the busy traffic light at the Bypass. Myself, my wife and my 16 year old daughter have all been in multiple very close calls recently from drivers going between 35 and 45 miles per hour on a neighborhood street where the speed limit should be no more than 20 mph. We strongly suggest that speed bumps be placed on Fritz Drive asap. It is clear many drivers coming West on the Bypass are going North on Dunn St, into Matlock Heights, then flying down Fritz Drive to get to North Walnut. Please don't hesitate to contact myself, C. Hi, has anyone made contact with Indiana Railroad about the issues at 10th and the Bypass crossing? I think they can do better.
As you are heading east / southeast on Fountain Drive, at the intersection with N. Adams Street, when you look north on Adams to check for traffic, there is a lot of tree foliage impeding the view. It is very difficult to see traffic until you are pretty far into the Adams street intersection.
When going north on S. Dunn street when you get to the intersection at Grimes you can not see around the cars parked on the south east and south west corners. You have to inch out into the intersection putting the front of the car in the middle of the road before you can see anything. The same thing happens when biking. We live on S Dunn and deal with this issue daily. The street parking on Grimes at the intersection when cars are parked make it impossible to see traffic both directions.
SR 446 and Moores Pike intersections is extremely confusing with the addition of the new lanes painted on intersection. Many times I have seen traffic from all sides come to a complete stop because no-one seems to know who can do what. It seems if you are traveling north bound on SR 446 you (one ) shouldn't make a left onto lampkins ridge road (Moores Pike) ? It is extremely dangerous and needs attention ASAP. Thank You!
