Zillow says they can have 7 people? Is that true? What a mess for a neighborhood - for 119 s bryan
Would someone please take a second look at the uReport ticket 182548. This was closed with a comment indicating outside of city limits, which I believe is erroneous. According to the interactive city map, these addresses are in council district 5.
Home at 2800 Limestone Dr has trash and debris piled up in back and side yards and continues to dump more trash on adjacent property owned by CSX. Also stolen bicycles, shopping carts, open fires and people seem to live in back yard in tents. The SW corner of my property is adjacent to this seemingly unsanitary and unsafe mess. Please help.
Our neighborhood has reported this resident multiple times and the city has done absolutely nothing to correct the issues on this property. This property is a literal junk yard, and when I say literal, I mean this without any exaggeration. It is littered with trash, abandoned vehicles, broken appliances scattering the entire yard. My kids go outside to play and are bombarded with mosquitoes that live in the water-logged abandoned junk all over the property. Can someone from the city please address this since the other departments are not addressing it?
Who enforces and how are snow-blocked sidewalks cleared when property owner refuses to clear this sidewalk?
We do not understand why HAND has not responded to any “Snow on Sidewalk” reports this week. All 50 reports from this week are currently “open”. Names associated with some of them are Rob Council, Jo Stong, and Chastina Hayes. Are they all sick this week? Or is HAND just waiting until the weather warms up? Why do you even have an option to report snow on sidewalks if you do not really care to enforce that item in the Code. It seems that HAND should have a similar responsibility to enforce. Can HAND be fined if they fail to do so? Maybe we need a Bloomington version of DOGE to shake things up a bit…
The response provided for Case# 201024 (https://bloomington.in.gov/crm/tickets/view?ticket_id=201024) was insufficient and dismissive ("Cases are left open until they comply. A large number of tickets were issued, however, tickets are tracked in a separate system from Ureport."). It is not true that all the "Sidewalk Snow Removal" complaints were followed up with tickets. Rather, they were *all* updated soon after 8am on Wed 26 Feb with various comments such as, "Snow has melted", "No longer valid", etc. There is no reason to lie - better to just ignore requests from residents and go back to whatever it is you do all day long. Eventually, we will get the message that submissions to UReport are a waste of time and we will stop bothering your office with such things.
Several weeks ago on 8th Street in Hopewell The house in the corner had some kind of construction where the city road was tore up they have since left some of it was fixed but they're still an uneven spot on the road can we get this addressed and fixed?
Entire roof being removed in historic district - concerns it is not permitted work and concerns for spread of moldy / asbestos contaminated insulation being thrown
I am curious if Bloomington has a service where I can report a rental company that does not act in accordance with state laws (no notice for rental showings) and public health regulations (my septic tank leaks into my back yard and they won't fix it). Is there a city service that can help me with these issues?
