Individual at event requested officer to take a look at 1051 N Oolitic for trash, specifically needles to see if there was any clean-up HAND could mandate.
Tony lives at 514 W Davis St. #12 and is calling about a neighboring rental property on the corner of W. Davis St. and S. Rogers St. He doesn't know the exact address, but it's the property right on the corner. The grass and shrubs are overgrown; the property looks unkempt and the overgrowth could harbor snakes and other pests.
There is trash and debris piled behind garage (at alley) and along west side of house at 1018 E University St. The pile behind the garage has been there for many months. I believe the residents have moved out.
house at 1016 w Kirkwood is unsafe. It is unlocked and has a no working refrigerator on the back deck that as of a couple of weeks ago had moldy food in it. Homeless people have been seen coming and going. syringes have also been seen around the property.
West Pointe subdivision (enter from Allen/Larkspur or Adams/Woodhill) -- MANY houses that are rentals or vacant have excessive growth. Need to drive through entire neighborhood to see the many that need to be addressed. Some sidewalks are covered in weeds. Also, several homes have excessive mold on the exterior, one house has the garage door removed and sitting inside garage (been this way for months). Tree limbs that need trimmed; hazard when walking (need to look through neighborhood for several homes with this issue).
