at "auto glass" business at 2521 w 3rd st, this morning there was a large steady stream of water onto sidewalk even though it wasnt raining. so probably a broken pipe. please check on this or it will become a hazard for pedestrians when the temp crashes soon & it will freeze. thanks
Complaining about 3 inches of mud in front of his apartment. He's following up from a prior complaint about this location, when he claims that he was told that an environmental study would need to be done before it could be cleaned up, but that it wasn't a priority.
Water form the neighborhood is flowing into my yard causing floods and interior damage once saturated. I have a lot of video evidence. I am trying to repair damage on my own, but I can't keep up.
Our neighborhood has had major issues with storm water for several years now, and we'd like to have someone come assess the area to see if there is a breakdown in the storm drain system in this area. The flooding issue begins between 3525 E. Third St. and 3520 E. Park Ln., and builds to the west along the property lines. During times of heavy rain (like we had over the weekend), many of the neighborhood back yards become flooded, and water tends to sit for several days afterwards. I'm sorry I didn't get a picture of the water during the rains yesterday, but will work to submit one during the next rainfall. There appears to be a perfectly adequate stormwater drain in front of 3508 E. Park Ln, but there doesn't appear to be a ditch that will carry the water from between our homes to that stormwater drain. Some help would be greatly appreciated, as we have had water backup in our basement in years past from this issue. Thanks very much for your prompt attention and help. Ms McGough called last week and asked for any document we have for storm water work we have performed near her house to help resolve ongoing drainage complaints.
I received the following email: Last year, you helped me and my neighbors deal with some of the water runoff plaguing our yards by installing a new storm sewer manhole. At the time, you mentioned the possibility of adding another slotted drain higher up on the alley to deal with the water that comes down the alley and into my yard. Do you think this is a possibility in the near future? In April, my backyard again was badly flooded with water coming in two streams: down the alley and from Woodlawn. BoI have discussed with Thrasher Landscaping possible remedies. They would involve adding pipes that would attach to the city pipes in my front yard. I am contacting you to see if this is possible. We need to be careful to aid damaging the existing city pipes that run through my side yard. I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks again for the help you provided last summer.
I CAN'T GET THE LOCATION DESIGNATION TO INDICATE MY POSITION.. However I am on the corner of East Maxwell Lane and South Highland Avenue. My address is 1300 E. Maxwell Lane. A couple of days ago I noticed a hole about 8 or 10 inches across had opened up in what appears to be the easement in front of my house. It is about 8 inches deep and in the middle of the hole is the end of a metal pipe. You can just see the top portion of the pipe. It looks as though this pipe is in line with an open underground intersection of piping at Maxwell and Highland which which collects rainwater and runs south on Highland. . I don't know whether with rainfall there is water coming out of the pipe but there does seem to be erosion around the end of the pipe which I think must account for the hole forming. If someone could come look at it and determine what's going on I would be most appreciative.
He left a voice message indicating he has a problem with his neighbor that involves a drainage ditch between properties.
There is a drainage problem between the yard and the street.
He left a VM indicating he has property at 104 S Jefferson and there are drainage issues between the city and the edge of the grass. He called Street Dept first but was told it was a utility issue.
