Hey All, Curious about hunting on land owned by the city. There is a small parcel located north of Dillman Rd alongside Clear Creek (39.09384 -86.55440) that I am interested in. Is any hunting allowed on land owned by the city?
After installing the smart water meter CBU nor their contracted service provider left notification on our door that installation had occurred. On Monday of this week, CBU dug around the meter and within hours several water issues were present in our home. Debris in our drinking water (again not notified of work done, w tag on our door) seal blown off our dishwasher pump rendering it useless, and water saturating our carpet in the Living room. All occurring within hours of CBU being around the meter and digging. We have contacted and spoken with both contracted service personnel as well as the meter dept at CBU. We are currently in communication with assistant director. Today a service meter technician came to our property to take pics and "plugged" the smart meter back in to a housing that it had come undone from as per Ken Johnson. Again, we were home, the meter was handled and no courtesy knock or paper notice was put on our door . This is unacceptable as we had just been on the phone with CBU sharing our concerns. CBU Protocol has not been followed, drinking water was not safe guarded for my family, digging around a meter with no courtesy tag left on the door, meters installed with no courtesy tag left on the door including notice to flush the system or # to contact if there were issues, meter equipment not "plugged in" as per Johnson, and water leaks in our home which now require jack hammering into the slab. Is there any chance that the City would beautify (i.e. remove the rusty fence, cut the weeds, and mow nicely) the property on Monroe St near Tri-North where the water tank used to be?
Bethel Lane construction. For weeks this community has continually been taken hostage by a private company attempting to “fix” water lines. This company continuously blocks traffic at unnecessary times. It seems to always when school is letting out that they decide to keep traffic stopped, even though they, and the City ya ensured the county they would not hinder this traffic and work with the schools for ease of traffic flow. I find it extremely frustrating that the City of Bloomington would care so little about about it’s residents and families. This heavy traffic and blocked traffic pattern has cause myself and many others late from picking up a child at school or getting home to get a second child attending a different school. I hope that some one from this office or one from above can look at these many projects around Bloomington and actually manage them in accordance to the community and just not profit margins and revenues.
7-20-2020: Second major flooding in Vance Music due to rainwater: Alleywork by City (install a water line?), water filters through alley surface patch, floods basement. This time, CFC Properties notified us their basement flooded as well. Alley needs resolution, Vance Music has lost property. Olympus will need to assess any structural damage due to water infiltration. Please advise.
Re: Communication about Boil Water Alert for 7th St., 9/6/21. I did not know that there was a boil water alert for my street until, by accident, I found out about it. I'm even signed up for alerts from Monroe County, but I never received one. If you're new to Btown or even if you're not and you've never encountered a boil water alert or even if you have--if you don't know about the Monroe Cty. alert system or if that doesn't work well (I couldn't even find the alert on the Co. website), or you can't manage digital stuff, there's no way you'd be prompted to check for an alert, and that could have serious health consequences. In this time of public health crises and awareness, that's critical. Please implement an effective communications system as soon as possible so that all residents are sure to be alerted and can protect their health. Thank you.

Looks like beavers have built a dam at the small pond between E Creeks Edge Rd and Creeks Edge Path where it empties into the East Fork Jackson Creek. Pond appears high and creek appears low as a result.
