Right green traffic light on discovery parkway heading to Pete Ellis on 10th is out. Red light works. Unsure about yellow.
Crosswalk button closest to the old hospital (grass lot) is extremely hard to push and most times does not work when you push it. I’m not sure if it needs to get adjusted but I constantly have to cross without using it.
In November I had reported an issue with the traffic signal at Hillside/High St. (Case #199372). It was closed as resolved, but the issue has never been corrected. There is an issue with the sequencing of the light phasing. The cars heading south High St. always receive a left turn signal, regardless if there is a car sitting in the turn lane. The north/south bound lanes already receive a significantly less phase time (understandably so given the traffic on Hillside), but this creates an even shorter phase for cars going north on High St., especially with the no turn on reds posted at this intersection. Can the phasing of this light be addressed so that the southbound traffic doesn't receive a left turn signal unless there is a car in the turn lane?
The traffic signal at 1200 Patterson is flashing.
The stoplight at 6th & Walnut is out of sequence for the flow of traffic on Walnut.
6am, the light that stays green for Allen st at this intersection is extremely long and there is never another car coming from Allen.
Walk sign was hit on the corner at inkwell so it looks like it’s telling the wrong pedestrians to cross the crosswalk.
The yellow school zone blinking light is not working. If heading south on High st it's right in front of 706 High St.
School bus drivers are complaining the light barely stays green long enough to get from Oakdale through the light to Basswood or to turn left. This is my 2nd time putting in this request as I was told this light is maintained by the state and I would need to contact INDOT. I did that and they referred me back to you. Here is the e-mail I received from them regarding this: kenmiller@indot.in.gov Dear Ms. Silvernail, Thank you for contacting the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT). The intersection of W Bloomfield Road and Oakdale Drive/S Basswood Drive is outside of INDOT jurisdiction. Those roads are city streets under the jurisdiction of the City of Bloomington. I understand that you contacted them already, but I can confirm that they are city streets, which INDOT does not maintain. Here is the link to their website: https://bloomington.in.gov/departments/public-works/street and phone number: 812-349-3448. You can stay informed 24/7 by visiting 511in.org or by downloading INDOT TrafficWise in the app store. Spring forward into safety! Buckle Up, Phone Down.
